Good Morning. Over achievers, time to stop and enjoy
I'm glad you aren't sick. You mentioned a while back that you or DH always end up sick at Christmas. Glad you have managed to stay away from bad bugs this year.

I think at Christmas we wear ourselves down but this year everything seemed to go really smooth and I didn't stress (which causes him stress) at all.

You are spot on, Huneypie. I'm feeling pretty good. I stuck to plan yesterday and so far today too. We are going to go see the new Hobbit movie in 3D. I may not be able to eat anything for a few hours after we get out. ; )

I decided to remove Christmas stress from my life last year. I bought the entire family a cruise to the Bahamas for 5 nights. We went and enjoyed ourself although my DD decided to get married on the beach he day before we boarded the ship on the opposite side of Florida but we pulled it off pretty stress free. I watched what they looked at on the trip and bought them each a gift that they had looked at and they opened it Christmas Eve, Christmas day is at my in laws and I just have to show up.
This year we decided to make it an annual trip and we went on a 7 night cruise a couple of weeks ago. I got them each one gift $30 or under and then just had to pick up two gift cards for my neices. We will be doing this from here out!!
The biggest stress this year is that I had hernia surgery last Thursday and am in so much pain I won't enjoy my brother coming or my mom from the nursing home. I told the family cooking was up to them and even water and protein shakes are hurting my belly so not sure I'll get to enjoy any of the ham and turkey that are cooking but heck I'll roll with it as long as the Lortab keeps working.
We spent all day watching a grandchild while his mommy and daddy worked (they own their own store and were the only two there). So I got LOTS of cuddles and smiles and spitup and diapers today. :)

Well, we are almost through now. We had my families Christmas while we were at Disney the weekend before Thanksgiving. We had our families today at lunch. DH's family will be tomorrow for lunch.
This year was not nearly as stressful for me since the Disney trip was our kids and grandkids big Christmas gift. They got a few little things, but we had a great time opening them today.
Hope you have a very Merry Christmas.
Linda
