WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period!!!!!
I got home last night ready to cook the pork chops I had thawing for dinner and it was a pork roast which of course I didn't have time to cook so I dug the most disgusting chicken nuggets out of the bottom of the freezer. No chicken just crust...they should not be allowed to sale these things! I couldn't even get the DGSons to eat them but DH knew I was upset so he ate them without complaining.

I heard on the radio this morning that McDonalds is going to start having Fish nuggets also now. I used to love their Fish Filet Sandwich.
I've been eating meatballs for lunch and supper this week. I only have enough left for today and lunch tomorrow.

Hi Roz - I can't remember the last time I had a chicken nugget I liked. They seem to be all coating and taste nasty. I need to find room for some protein drinks. I'm not at the office today so my routine is off...

I've started looking at my whole gluten intolerance problem as a mixed blessing because I can't just pull out chicken nuggets from the freezer anymore.
I've gone into my maintenance mode, but am still having to do some tweaking because my current weight is about 6 lbs under my goal weight.
- Protein: Isopure Cookies and Cream shake w/ vanilla soy milk 59g
- Snack: Popcorn
- Lunch: 1/2 Grilled ham and cheese sandwich on Udi's Gluten-free Multigrain bread
- Protein: Isopure Plus 15g
- Dinner: Baked Basa fillet, 1/4 cup brown Jasmine rice and 1/2 cup steamed green peas
- Protein: Isopure Cookies and Cream shake w/ vanilla soy milk 59g
There'll probably be another snack somewhere in there, but I haven't decided on what just yet. I'm hoping that the sinus headache I've had the last two days mellows out a bit more so I can just get on the treadmill and go for a walk.
Under you goal weight or under your normal BMI weight? The biggest mistake I made was getting scared and starting maintenance too soon. Don't fall into that trap. You are still in your honeymoon period. When you get to the bottom of your BMI weight your body will start adjusting.
Good menu!

Roz,
Well I know that my BMI is currently at 22.3 and my weight is at 114.3 lbs. My PCP felt a good weight for me would be 120 lbs or a BMI of around 23. My surgeon felt a BMI of 26 was the goal, but that the end decision was up to me. My weight never dropped below 120 lbs when I was in my teens and very physically fit, so I thought 120 lbs would be it. But the weight hasn't leveled off and I'm a bit worried.
It's a tough decision that only you can make. I've only known of one poster that dropped too low and that's LadyTazz. She had several different WLS. Most of the time it's posters like me who wished they would have let their bodies stop on their own.
When the honeymoon period slows down and eventually dwindles away there is no going back. If you do decide to start on maintenance don't increase your calories with carbs. You are still to early out to eat foods that might trigger bad habits.
