Good Morning My WL Friends....
Today is My 2nd Surgiversary and I am Excited and Happy to be posting the past 2 years of My Life since I had my DS! I had some hoops to jump through to get my weight loss surgery. I had problems with Blood Pressure, Severe Arthritis, Borderline Diabetes and the list goes on. I got through all the tests and had the Surgery that changed My Life 2 yrs ago today.
I was 260 at my heaviest weight...I have lost a total of 120lbs and have worked very hard to maintain my goal weight of 140lbs. I have managed to get below my goal weight and currently weight 138lbs today. I am loving life with my DH and kids again. Life is worth living and I am living it in a much happier state of mind and body!
I used to wear a size 24/26 and now I wear 6/8. I wear more stylish clothes now and I take better care of my appearance as well. I used to wear a size 8 shoe, now I wear a 7 1/2. Tops were 2x or 3x and now I can wear a Medium and sometimes a small... I was a 44D and now I am a 36C. My jeans and dress pants are a size 8 but I often can fit into a 6 too...depending on make and cut of the jean/pant.
My weight loss had its sure of obstacles...I had a bowel obstruction last year that I need emergency surgery to correct. I had a small hernia diaganosed before surgery that need surgery to repair it. I struggled with horrible nausea after my DS but all in all it was worth every minute of it. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Since my DS I have learned to be more careful what I eat. I realize how easy it is to gain a pound or two just by having a bad day with the wrong food choices. The bathroom scale is my friend and Ive learned not to fear it. That scale keeps me grounded!! lol I know exercise is very important too. I have learned to appreciate protein, water and the vitamins I need to take to keep me healthy. I comply fully!!
My DH and kids have been a godsend to me...My DH has continued to support me through out this journey and I love him for that. My kids love their Mama no matter what size I was but they are so proud of how hard I have worked take off the weight and keep it off. I can do more with my children and they love it. I am thankful and lucky to have such an amazing and supportive family!!
In closing, I would like to give thanks to the wonderful people on here who have helped me with their kind advice over the past 2 years. I mention them at this time cause they deserve it...Gina, Price, Liz, Linda and Roz you have helped me through with your kind advice many times. I know all I had to do is post (although I dont post often) a question and they came to my aid with good advice. Thank you and Bless you all!!
