WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Life can change so quickly. Yesterday I got a call that one of our Tumbling instructors was killed when the car she was driving hit ice and slush on I80 near the Poconos. She's a little younger than my girls so I don't think she was even 30 yet. My DD's are my life and I'm taking this death very hard. She was very close to her Mom and I can't even imagine what she is going through. Yesterday was a multi popcorn day for me. I still turn to food when I am having an emotional day. I needed carbs and popcorn was the best choice I had.

I am so sorry to hear about her. I can't imagine how her mom feels. I'm like you, my kids are everything to me and I can't imagine life without them.
I'm glad January is almost over and my work/life is getting back to normal. Now to get serious with my food. I also eat carbs when I am stressed and have not made the best choices the last two weeks. I have weighed almost every morning just to keep a check on it that way because I have not had time to post here.

Thanks Linda! It was so foggy last night and DD drives home around 10pm and she forgot her phone. Her wonderful DH took his phone to her so she wouldn't be without. He knew she would be upset after dealing with the girls all evening and she might need to talk.
I've missed you!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is the play over? How's it going working in 2 different offices? My niece (owner of gym) and my DD are starting another cheer program in another gym closer to Pittsburgh and DD is already worried about the traveling, getting everything organized, and dealing with new families.
Glad to see you were keeping track even though you couldn't post. I'm always an every day weigher. I like to see if bounce up and down. It would be a shock if it happened to be a higher day on the day I chose to get weighed.

Hi Roz, I'm so sorry about the Tumbling instructor. It must be such an awful shock. I said a little prayer for her friends and loved ones and I'm sending you a really big ((HUG)). Stuff like that reminds us of our own mortality.
I had a hungry day but can't really attribute it to any special stress.

Roz - my thoughts and prayers go out. I couldn't imagine losing my daughter or my son. I did think about it a few weeks ago when she went back to work...
Eating has been horrible and today didn't start out any better.

I've been trying not think about it but the thoughts just keep coming back into my head. During the last big ice storm we had here DD#3 and our 2 grandsons slid off of the road and were on the edge of a big hill. She called me hysterical and I called 911 and they got her help. At the same time another family with 2 boys the exact same age as ours wrecked and both boys were killed. DH had to work on that road last week, see the car, and hear the stories. He was quiet for a few days but I didn't know why and on the third day he fell apart. I know if something would happen I'm going to have to be the strong one or maybe I will be in such pain I won't care about anyone else. I hope I never have to experience it.
