Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period!!!!!
I either ate too many carbs or not enough Protein on the weekend because the scales are up a couple pounds and I'm feeling sluggish. Usually Wednesdays are my low day on the scale but it might take a little longer this week. Maybe they will be down for Sunday weigh in.

Hi Roz, happy Tuesday. Not much to report here except I'm getting more inventive with the creamcheese pancakes. Yep PB&J and baking raisins into others. Do you celebrate Shrove Tuesday/pancake day in the US? Every day seems to be pancake day for me, but I guess pancakes are to me a bit like protein shakes are to you.

I've never heard of Shrove Tuesday but do have a lot of pancake dinners around election time and hunting season. My mom loves pancakes and no matter what time of the day you take her out to eat she gets pancakes if they are on the menu. I am going to make the cream cheese ones someday. As long as we get our Protein in then we have to do whatever works for us. I'm glad you found something that makes you happy and works for you!
Good Totals!

According to wikipedia "the expression "Shrove Tuesday" comes from the word shrive, meaning "confess." Related popular practices are associated with celebrations before the fasting and religious obligations associated with the penitential season of Lent."

Meeting and Drs all morning but headed out to play with ponies.
You are right, I do so much better no carbing it. I was back to pre-vacation weight this morning. Now if I can stick to it and shave some more off, I may be closer to where I want to be.

That's great your scales are back where they were. You did an awesome job watching what you were eating on vacation! I'm expecting mine to move back down within the next couple of days.

We've been battling the flu at my house for the past two weeks and, until this morning, I thought I was going to get lucky enough to have it pass over me. Alas, I woke up this morning with a sore throat, stuffy nose, and a headache. Thankfully, my doctor called in a script for Tamiflu, so *hopefully* my illness will be short-lived.
