I Ate a Chicken Breast Today
For the first time in nearly 2 months I actually ate real food, not something soft or pureed. I got my lower teeth yesterday and there is some discomfort but it's tolerable. I found that I am chewing the way I used to before I lost most of my teeth. I was wondering how that worked. It was kind of painful because they are new and also when I bite down it still hurts at some of my extraction sites but hopefully it will get better soon.
And I haven't had to take any kind of pain medication, even OTC in over a week. I have probably taken at least 2 Tylenols a day for years and years and for the past year I have been on prescription pain meds due to my headaches and neck pain. My headaches are practically gone and so is the neck pain. Apparently the cause was the TMJ caused by my teeth grinding. I can actually look forward to a fairly pain free future.
A little over 4 years ago I started dealing with unrelenting fatigue, which the search for answers led me to having my revision. While the revision didn't immediately cure my problems, I have slowly been getting back to where I was a little over 4 years ago and I can say that now I am about 99% back to where I was. I have gone from being practically bedridden, house bound, unable to get dressed most days to being productive and active again. I am not brimming over with energy but then again I never was, but I am able to live a normal life, working, socializing and being with my family.
