Good Morning. So, if I put my snacks in the fridge...

...will it make me think before I graze?  Yes, I'm trying to come up with strategies that might help me to think before I graze this week. I'm thinking if I have to get up from my desk and go to the fridge and get a cheese round or mix a shake or get some Greek yogurt it might help me curb the mindless grazing. What do you guys think?  I might be able to hold off that Greek yogurt until 9AM. Also this week, I'm going to try to stop the popcorn and peanuts. Wish me luck!

Grazers, unite! We can beat this monster.

Staying busy is what stops me.  Maybe going to the frig will help.  Go for a walk instead of grazing and that will kill 2 birds with one stone.

I had a good weekend in SC and it was warm enough to bathe Halley.  I need to clip her today, do some work, go to Muscle Pump tonight.  No meetings, hurray.

Not for me.... that's the first place I look....

Good luck with the popcorn and peanuts!  I had both last week and paid for the peanuts... (cashews).

Good Morning Gina,

We Grazers will beat the "Evil Carb Monster"!!!  Im interested to see what everyone else does to ward off this demon!!  As for me...I found what works is keeping busy!  If that doesnt help I will go to protein and water!  I have found also that a hot tea or decaf coffee helps me too!!!  Have a great week!!!!

That might work for others but not for me...ease contributes of course, but it also involves what my mouth wants to taste.

If it wants salty, yogurt or cheese isn't gonna fly! If it just wants to chew, then cheese or a slice of meat rolled up works well. If it wants sweet, yogurt may work.

I just try and keep all sorts in the fridge and in the pantry.

What has kept me from wanting popcorn and nuts now is that my mouth does not feel good eating those...my jaw surgery still affects that as well.

Out of sight ... out of mind usually works for me. BUT...I'm only talking about foods I crave like sweets, chips, cheezits,  nuts, fruit, etc.  It doesn't matter if it's the fridge, pantry, or even in a drawer. As long as I can't see it I don't crave it.

I don't think anything could keep me away from my "grazing" foods like yogurt, jerky, cheese, meat sticks, or my popcorn.  I eat very small meals so most times I feel like my dinner and lunch are just part of my grazing.

Popcorn is a daily snack for me as well.  My daughter tried to help me with telling me to read stories online about popcorn lung...I'm still eating the popcorn :(

I'm having a TT on March 7 so yesterday, I cleaned out my refrigerator and pantry and sent the items I MOST want to snack on off to my daughter's house for the grandkids.  Out of sight out of mind (however, I am posting about it).

Yes, it will definitely help.

So will having rules. Like having to wait just at least an hour (even two) from the last time, before you are allowed to put anything in your mouth.

Grazers, Unite! I love that.  Back on track today.  If the chocolate pound cake is not gone when I get home today it WILL go into the garbage and have something dumped on top of it!!

I actually have a mini fridge in my office so I have my greek yogurt and water in it.  I just went to heat my lunch and what do I see in the breakroom but these little pecan cupcakes.....I resisted - yeah for me.  I have a Cutie on my desk so if I really need something sweet I will eat that.

I agree we can beat this monster!!

If I put my snacks in the fridge the vending machine is enroute to the fridge, so that wouldn't work for me at all!!
