Good Morning. Come on, snow

I hope it gets better than this. Seems like it might be just a little too warm but we'll see. They are predicting 8-12 inches here but I'm not seeing it...just wet snow falling and melting on the street so far. The Fed gov't is closed and all the schools...which isn't a bad thing considering the volume of traffic on most mornings. Anyway, we will have a snow shoveling party some time today and that's going to be my exercise.

In other news, I ate too fast last night at the restaurant and had to leave the table to take care of business. {sigh}  That hasn't happened to me in years. Just goes to show that I still have great restriction at 5 1/2 years post-op and still have bad habits, like eating too fast, as well. Well, I have worked at keeping my sleeve as small as possible and I guess it's worked. Lesson learned: slow down, chew well, take a seat you can get out of quickly, and a table close to the lady's room.

Y'all be safe out there today.

I'm sorry you had to leave the table, Gina....I only did that one time myself, but I was early out (as in less than 3 months) and didn't have a good idea as to my limits. It tasted so good to my mouth, I just kept shoveling! And I paid for it with the worst case of the foamies I've ever had...

So slowing down and taking your time does pay off...we just sometimes forget. And if you are like me, Army training did NOT help. They give you a very small amount of time to eat and you learn to shovel it in as fast as possible. I still eat way to fast and I go slower now than I did in YEARS!

Have a good snow day!

Haven't done it in a while, but it still happens.  Yeah, you think we would learn.

It was 50 here and grey but the rain start late yesterday afternoon.  Now it is 29 and blowing snow.  Not enough to stick plus after all the rain, it is too wet but that high wind makes it brutal outside.  Today will be an inside day for sure. Ponies and donks have hay and are all bundled up so they are fine.  Then tomorrow it is 50 again (I hope).  Spring.

I've only ever barfed a mouthful of crystal light (it would've never happened with water, but crystal light goes down easy).  I let myself get dehydrated early out and then drank too much after having a large meal... sip, sip, sip as the phrase goes.

I would think snow shoveling would be great exercise!!  My BIL & SIL that live in Mechanicsville just got home from Florida last night.

I hate when I eat too fast.  I am a slow learner and it still happens to be occasionally.

The sun is shining here today but it is cold.  I think it is suppose to warm up for the weekend.  I hope so because I am participating in a 5K Saturday night for a local cancer fund.

I remember the first time I had to "make a run for it," it happened after our last graduation. I work for a charter school, and the new event planners decided that staff would not be allowed to take any food or beverage of any kind, not even water into the event. I went way too long withou****er. Because of the no drinking 30 minutes before a meal rule, DH & I stopped for dinner after we were done with our duties. OMG, dinner did not stay down. Of course no liquid for many hours made the process oh so painful. This graduation, not happening, I got a Dr. note that says I must be allowed water at all times. Pretty sad that I need a Dr note to carry water.

Weather here is sunny with strong wind. Typical for this time of year in the Southern CA high desert. I would like it to snow again, would love to have a snow day. I do agree, shoveling snow is great exercise.

It's seems crazy to me how we still dump, still get things stuck, and are so stupid sometimes.

Yep - it seems lately I've had more "episodes" from early out than after 4 1/2 years....  I dumped the other night and I know when I eat too fast or too much, I'll pay.

Don't think the shoveling happened today out there.  I was watching the weather channel all day and saw how warm it got.  Hopefully it doesn't freeze tonight and make it a nightmare for tomorrow!
