Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with good choices during the Honeymoon Period!!!!

Tuesday the 12th....one month until we leave on our cruise....YEAH!!!

We spent last night in the emergency room with our 1 yr. old Grandson.  DD was concerned before she  left for work and told DH that he was slobbering a lot and acting strange and to keep a close eye on him and call her with updates by the time I got home from work DH was frantic.  The baby wasn't closing his mouth, couldn't swallow and all of his spit was running out and although he wasn't fussy at all you could tell he didn't feel good.  I called DD and told her we were going to take him to the emergency room.  The crazy nurse who checked us in said he looked like he was teething....I was so mad and they left us sit there for almost an hour!  After 3 kids and 7 grandchildren I knew he wasn't acting this way because he was teething!  Then after they took us back we seemed to sit there forever.  We were at the hospital almost 4 hours!  I bet if he had been fussy and crying they would have rushed us in.

Anyway...rant over.   When they finally checked him out the Dr. saw that he had bitten the whole side of his tongue.   His tongue was really swollen and had a big gash in it.  They were surprised there wasn't any blood because the mouth usually bleeds a lot. They said they don't stitch tongues anymore and  put him on an antibiotic.  DD said he is still keeping his mouth open and spitting a lot but at least sucking his ninny and playing some.

Wow, I'm surprised that DGS wasn't wailing.  I'm glad to hear he's on the mend.

I've re-added coffee with heavy cream and I've felt more in control today (I'd been off it for a couple of weeks).  I need to keep having the heavy cream as us DSers need the extra fat and I'd let it drop a bit - hopefully that'll be why I've been struggling recently.  I was getting bored with coffee and heavy cream but DH is stopping off at Starbucks enroute home tonight to get me some SF vanilla syrup so that'll make the coffees a little more exciting hopefully.

I'm out of sorts when I don't have my popcorn.  It keeps me regular and satisfies my cravings.

Sounds Great!

I love fat, cream, olive oil, butter.  I am envious of you DS folks and your NEED for fat.

He he ;-) that is part of why I got the DS in addition to already being half way there. Coz it isn't rationed I don't crave fat, but carbs that's a different matter ;-)

glad he is doing better.  What a scary thing.  I would have though allergic reaction to something.

The rain stopped and the sun has been glorious but the wind is bitter.  I waited until it had warmed up as much as possible then drove Halley.  We had a nice walk around the neighborhood with me in snow pants and heavy parka.

haven't added it up but I usually run around 150g.  It seems to take that for me to keep my levels up.
