Words about love can flow from our lips but when the actions of our
lives are contrary to those words, it nullifies them. Jesus Christ is the
way, the truth and the light. He is the answer and every living person on the planet, whether they acknowledge it or not, has need of Him. Their souls desire and have need of His unconditional love, never ending mercy and grace. We must do more than talk about what we believe, we must live it.
We can make a difference in our homes, communities, nation and the
world, by allowing Jesus to love and live through us. Jesus is more than a theory, or doctrine, He is real and knowing Him is life changing.
Our lives will reflect Jesus when we make ourselves available for His
service, allowing Him to love through us. He longs for all to know of His unconditional love, and to partake of His gift of grace and mercy. God is good and it is difficult to understand why many reject Him and
continue in their misery. There is no doubt that people are seeking God, and for something that makes a difference, something that will fill the empty place in their souls. Our responsibility is to allow all that Jesus truly is to live and stand out through our lives. It is His perfect love that wins over the coldest and most callused of hearts. His love never  fails.
Prayer........
Jesus we thank you for being our strength and our comfort. Give us
wisdom and create our hearts anew. Make us ambassadors in your service, so that your love, compassion and mercy will be reflected in every area of our lives. In Jesus name, Amen.

Quick Update..... I've lost post -op (117lbs) and pre-op (90lbs) I'm 253LBS!!!!! GOD IS GOOD!!!

Hello Saints,
I hear this song on the radio all the time by Kirk Franklin and I even have the CD but this morning I really had a chance to HEAR the words to this song. I've been questioning God lately(i'm sure we all do) and not understanding why I'm going through all that I'm going through.WHY,WHY,WHY!!!!!But I have to imagine that I'm going through for God's purpose and Imagine and know that the Victory is already mine!! Imagine that ALL the pain ,hurt,disapponitment and fear is GONE!!! My LORD I'm ready to be FREE!!!

God is creating beauty within each of us. Although it may not be as noticeable as we would like, He has begun a work in us, and He will certainly finish that work. Each one individually created and perfected.
God isn't in the business of mass-producing, each of us
receive unique and carefully detailed attention. We need to stop trying to pattern ourselves after each other and allow God to create in us the work of art.
He has envisioned. Remember the next time you feel you don't
quite measure up to others, that you are a masterpiece of God in the making.
Prayer...
Lord, I place myself in Your capable hands, trusting that You are creating a work of art within my life, that will glorify You. You are the potter,mold me and make me according to Your perfect will. Forgive me for comparing myself to others. I thank You for the unique and perfect work You are creating, and I know that one day I will stand before You,

When I meditated on the word  Guidance,
I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word.  
I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.  
When two people try to lead, nothing feels right.  
The movement doesn't flow with the music,  
and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.  
When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,  
both bodies begin to flow with the music.  
One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back  
or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another.  
It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully.  
The dance takes surrender, willingness,  
and attentiveness from one person  
and gentle guidance and skill from the other.  
My eyes drew back to the word Guidance.  
When I saw "G: I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i".  
"God, "u" and "i" dance."  
God, you, and I dance.  
As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust  
that I would get  guidance about my life.  
Once again, I became willing to let God lead.  
My prayer for you today is that God's blessings  
and mercies be upon you on this day and everyday.  
May you abide in God as God  abides in you.  
Dance together with God, trusting God to lead  
and to guide you through each season of your life.  
This prayer is powerful and there is nothing attached.  
If God has done anything for   you in your life,  
please share this message with someone else,  
for prayer is one of the best gifts we can receive.  
There is no cost but a lot of rewards;  
so let's continue to pray for one another.

Life is filled with distractions. We busy ourselves with all that
we believe has to be accomplished but by the end of the day,we are left wondering what part of our day we actually enjoyed. We each have responsibilities and we need to show reasonable concern and diligence in accomplishing these things. But we also need to keep balanced, remembering that God has a plan and purpose for our day as well. Remembering that the eternal is more valuable than the monetary. We need to ask ourselves if we have been mindful of God within our day, have we allowed Him to guide us; has anything within our day reflected His love and glory.
                                       Prayer
I pray that You will be my guide throughout the day. Give me wisdom to accomplish not only what needs to be accomplished but what You desire for my day. Help me today to share Your love with others and to be a reflection of Your goodness.

I got on the scale today and I've lost 2 more lbs (258). I have 16 more lbs and 5 more weeks until my 6 month post-op(100lbs post op). I PRAY that I can do it. I'm eating better but I find myself wanting sweets. I'm doing a lil better with water I just drink as much as I can.I do really well with Def Tea!! I will keep you all updated

Good Morning,
A friend of mine sent me the words to this song and I sing this song at church but it was not until she sent me the words and I really read and listen to the song again did I really get it. When we are going through troubles in our lives and we want to call our best friends,family or spouse to help you deal with what ever it is your dealing but sometimes we have to ENCOURAGE YOURSELF. I find that for me it's one of the hardest things for me to do. I've been told that I'm encouraging thourgh my profile and when I talk and pray with others but why can't I be that for myself.But as the song says as I minister to you I have to minister to myself. No matter how we feel we HAVE to SPEAK VICTORY durning our TEST!!!!
God has a plan for us GREATER than we can imagine.So please hold on to GOD never changing love. Get to a place were you be by yourself and praise,pray,and worship and ............

Thank you for sending this to me when I was on your mind. I'm truly blessed to have you in my life. I know that we don't talk everyday but I think of you and pray for you. I want to say thank you to all who the wonderful words I received about my pictures. WOW I thought that I looked ok but to hear people tell me that I'm pretty really made me feel good. No matter how firm we think we are standing we have moments when our faith becomes weak and uncertain. It may be the result of  emotional wounds, or tragedy. Regardless of the source if we approach these times remembering that Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, and that it is through His strength that we are able to stand against incredible odds He will enable us to keep pressing forward. The moments of uncertainty are evidence that we are in the process of continuing to seek truth and learn more of God and His character. There is and always will be more for us to learn. It
is usually during these time that we are most likely on the brink of
discovering more of His truth and He will reveal more of Himself to us.
It is His truth that ultimately sets us free from all the doubt and
uncertainty and our faith will once again soar. We must continue to
hold on to His word and promises especially during the difficult and
uncertain moments in our lives.
Prayer
Thank you Lord, you are good, you are unchangeable, you are my
strength, my  joy, my confidence. It is in you that I will continue to walk and to grow and to learn, I seek your truth and I long to know more of your ways.In your strength my faith will soar and I will stand.

Hello Saints... Well I went to see my Dr yesterday for my 3 month appt(lil late) and I was so scared of what he may say about my progress,Well he was very happy,I've lost 83lbs (260) and TOTAL OF 110lbs (370) God is GOOD!!! The only thing I'm waiting on is my blood work results but he told me if I don't hear back from them then everything is fine,I pray all is well.I'm learning how to LOVE the NEW AKILAH... I'm looking for love and self worth in all the wrong PEOPLE,PLACES AND THINGS and I HAVE to learn to LOVE myself and that I'm LOVED and ACCEPTED by someone no matter what I look like and feel like..My GOD.This journey again for me is not just about weight loss it is about me finding my relationship GOD! God had to put me through somethings to show me who HE is and that Everything that I want from life,my marriage,my job,my purpose,my family comes from him.I'm truly blessed with the friends that I have met and already had in my life"Thank you" My Family "I love you and thank you" My Husband and Son I will fight for us and I WILL NOT let the enemy tear up our home "I love you and thank you" To the people who read this...I thank you a well I pray that my TEST is a blessing to you. I pray that you understand that no matter what the situation looks like or how hard it is......PLEASE SEEK GOD!! Our natural talents and ability's are not impressive to God. He is not
looking for the wisest, strongest, and most together people. We come to Him
we are, and lay it all down at His feet. Any talent we have has been
placed in us by God. All that we have and are is because of Him.
Pride loves self. We do not have cause to be proud of our accomplishments.
Our human nature hates to admit that we are weak and hopeless. While we may
get through each day seemingly strong and capable, when it comes to spiritual matters we find we are lacking. The spiritual part of us is
the eternal part,the lasting part, the real part. The only way we can truly
surrender our lives to God is to truly understand what state we are in. We
are weak and hopeless apart from Christ.       

Prayer

I clearly understand that apart from You, I can do nothing. All that I
amisbecause of You. Create my life to reflect Your image. Help me to
realizethat I daily have need of Your guidance, strength, and wisdom. Help metoput away pride and self and to fall helpless at Your feet. It is
there Iwill find You will and my way through this world. My expectation is
fromYou, in Jesus name I ask, Amen.
