Everyone gets an angel . . . you can't always see them, because sometimes, they are invisible. sometimes they are your pet when he kisses you . . . sometimes they are a small treasure you find . . . an angel might even be your friend. those angels are quiet, but what they are really saying is: "pink clouds! a good day is just around the corner." so if you begin to worry too much, just remember . . . somewhere an angel is looking out for you, too.

As You Recover... Rely on God's Love My heart goes out to you today. I am so sorry for what you are having to go through. More than anything, I wish I could make things easier for you. I do pray continuously for God to give you strength, and I know that in time He will. In the meantime, remember that I am here for you; even more importantly, God is, too. Rely on God's love, and know that He will never leave you or ignore your needs. In our weakness, God's strength can become our strength, when we lean upon the promises of His healing touch. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Would you believe the last two days Ihave not posted to you one single time - I think I may be falling down on ANGEL DUTY!.... well I hope you can enjoy this one ----------For a Friend Such as You =========== It is my joy in life to find At every turning of the road The strong arm of a comrade kind To help me onward with my load. And since I have no gold to give, And love alone must make amends, My only prayer is, while I live - God make me worthy of my friends. Thanks for being a friend ------------------ and THANKS for listening to me the other night. It helped more than you will know.

Well I am officially on the route to recovery. I had my surgery Monday and walked to my bed off the gurney from the recovery room (I thought boy this doc is serious about walking and he is!) Monday I walked a total of 4 times and did pretty good. I still had the NG tube and catheter and the IV of course but none of that seemed too bad (of course I am sure that magic little button you push every 12 minutes helped that feeling). Tues they decided to remove the NG tube and the catheter and man I was happy! They did all that before 8am so walking was now a breeze. Sometime about noon the coughing started and that is the worst part I believe, you need every muscle they cut to do everything you will need to do and that includes wipe your hinney. I have never felt so helpless although I did not feel sorry for myself you just have to accept that you need some help and then pray you have someone there to help you. I must say if it were not for my wonderful husband KEN I do not know what I would do......honey you have been a real trooper. I also have Gina and Anita to thank any time I needed them they were right there. You girls mean the world to me. Well Tues they stated me on clear liquids and they tasted real good, I had really been concerned that you would not be able to ingest anything for 24 to 48 hours but in all honesty, it did not seem that long or that bad. On Wed I walked and rested, still had clear liquids and felt a little stronger. On Thur morn they brought me puree' food. I had and egg, grits, and peaches. This meal tasted so good. I knew then I was really hungry. Well the Dr came in and told them to D/C my IV, D/C my Nike Air shoes (that is what I called them they were actually wraps for your feet that had air filling them and then releasing constantly. They placed these on before we went to the operating room and they are to prevent blood clots. I was very suprised they do not use the TEDS hose there though. Then the doc looked at me and ask do you want to try going home well I jumped on that. My bed was very uncomfortable and my back was killing me so the chance to go home sounded great. We got home a little before 1 on Thur and I am doing pretty good. I get very tired easy and I am very sore. My cough is getting alot harder and I do use that pillow against my tummy when I cough and it does help. Everyday is a little easier and to those who ask NO I am not hungry. ken prepares my puree food a total of 4 ounces and I eat that and am very satisfied. i have to eat ice chips because the cold water hurts going down but I am making sure to get my fluids in. I am taking sugar free bugs bunny vitamins (2) and B12 in a sublingual pill. So far doing pretty good. I want to thank you all far all your wonderful post and all the thoughts and prayers my family and I think the world of each and every one of you and you will always remain dear to our hearts. Well my time up is running out so I better get back to bed. Talk to you all when I am feeling a little stronger. I can honestly say I think this was a very positive step for me.
