Hooray!!!! Congrats Scott! I just "ran" across your post. I think you are a true champ. Maybe some of the men out there will see you, and start thinking, "Hey the man looks so nice, I think I can do it too". I bet they decide that WLS is for them. I am just starting on my journey, and hoping to be on the "losing" side with all of you! Again Congrats on your new life! Kim

Yeah Scott! I have been wondering how you were! I saw your profile a couple of weeks ago. I will be going in on the 11th and comments like yours are what's keeping me going to the finish line. Great to hear your doing good and in good spirits!---

Well, I'm home from the hospital, four days post-op and while I'm exhausted and sore as I can be, it has been getting easier every day. I said a little prayer before going in "that God be my surgeon", and I think he was. I'm a wuss about pain, but I'm coping, and dealing very well with the food issues. Many thanks to all who cared enough to write and encourage me. These are friends I will not forget. Now if I can just get past the "hard bloody booger" problem from the hospital air and the fact that my ass hurts so much from sitting in one place, I'll be great. All I can say is that if anyone asks, I'll be there to help him or her. There wewren't too many men who had WLS done, and I think thats a shame, because they could be living much more fulfilling lives. One last thing....they got an accurate weigh-in at the hospital and I weighed 509, not 475 like I though. I'm the King of Denial, huh?

Hi Scott!!! I certainly hope things went incredibly well for you. I had my surgery Feb. 1st lap / rny, and I have been doing great! I hope you have a fast and healthy recovery!!

Scott,I am wishing you a successful surgery and a smooth, quick recovery. I had my Open RNY on 12/10/01 and have absolutely NO regrets other than not having it done several years sooner. It really was the best thing I could have possibly done for myself. God bless you as you cross over to a new, healthier life.
