Scott, Best of luck with your surgery. I think all of us will have to make adjustments to how we look, move & feel. Just part of becoming a healthy person who can actually participate in life instead of watching it. Hope you have a Smooth recovery.

Hello Scott and your loving Wife~~~~~ I don't think your wife meant you are going to change who you are, just what you look like. What a touching (pun intended) testimonial to her love. Good luck and hang on to her. PEACE

Well, I am 5 days away from surgery day, my pre-op tests are done and the doctors tell me I'm in pretty good shape for the shape I'm in. Good heart, lungs and mental condition. My wife shook me up yesterday, though. She was driving along and put her hand softly on my face and said; "I've only known this face for 32 years....it's going to be weird to get used to a new one". I got kinda upset over that, knowing that I will still be me, just in a smaller size. Here's hoping people will acclimate to the new me without getting too weird about the change. Regardless, I have to keep reminding myself that I am doing this for myself FIRST, and to be happy with that.
