1 Month Post Op

Everything is going  great. I am 45 lbs lighter and I can really tell that my energy is starting to improve. I have been up and in the gym, and for the first time in years I ran. I am now wearing a size 20 which I havent worn in years... Before my surgery I was in a size 26/28. This whole process has been a real eye opener. The Lord has really blessed us all, and having this kind of support systems really helps. I hope that anyone reading this in hopes of having WLS is inspired because even though I went through so much to finally see these kind of results, its was so worth it all. Stay faithful that the Lord will meet all of your needs. Please dont let anyone discourage you or tell you that you are taking the easy way, b/c let me be the first to say that there is nothing easy about the emotional rollercoster that you go through waiting to get approved by insurance, sometimes that stress alone seems to much to bare! Then on top of everything else the surgery itself is no walk in the park. Not to sugar coat it, it hurts! But again, God never gives us too much to handle. You have to remain strong in the Lord, because this is truley a life long commitment! I wish everyone all the best, and keep me in your prayer.... and remember to uplift others. I just had a good friend off mine give up on having WLS surgery because she got discouraged... If you have already had it or already have your approval.. UR BLESSED..

Ok,, any advice people????

 My doctor has put me back on a regular diet and I just had my surgery on the 17th of last month. Everytime I try to eat something I get soooooo sick! I cant stand it anymore! And on top of all else I still cant get my protein down!!! If anyone has any advice to offer im all ears!!!

I need a scale so I can weigh my hot bod. LOL.. j/k but I really do so I can update how much I've lost!

I woke up this morning feeling really good! Everyday seems to get a little better.I'm getting more and more fluid down! At my one week check up I had already lost 19lbs and a total of 43lbs gone forever! Thanks so much everyone for all of the support! Well, Im about to get my treadmill on so I'll talk to you guys later!

Boy i thought I was in pain with the lap band, This was no comparison!!! Im just glad that Im starting to feel better! I've been walking around like crazy and I just keep thinking to myself thank you Lord for this wonderful opportunity... And of course no pain no gain lol,, Thats what my fiance' says..Im still having trouble getting my protein down but Im tryin I just get full so fast.. Im dealing with the dehydration as well which is probably adding to the fatigue! 

Well gotta go for now, starting to hurt again!

I just want to say thank you to all of my OH Friendz. This has been a wild journey, and I am looking forward to being there for others as they go through this wonderful transformation.. I special thanks to those of you that have been right there for me while I was a nervous wreck I really do appreciate you..   Im so siked to think that i have been Blessed with the opportunity to Live a fulfilling healthy life!

Pre-op was this morning!

 My pre-op was this morning at 7. Im so tired.. I have all of my paper work completed and I am now ready for surgery.. I am the last surgery of the day! Im starting to relax and mellow out. I had a nice long talk with the Lord today and I feel so much better..With Dr. Barker's staff i really feel like Im in capable hands, But my serenity came straight from Heaven!!!

1 More Day To Go!

Well Well Well.... Tuesday is my big day! I have one more day to go and Im feeling a mixture of emotions, on one had Im nervous about the surgery and on the other hand I feel like this is what God has put on my heart to do! I know that whatever the outcome he has always and will forever be there for me and with me! So I say to everyone with upcoming dates; Be encouraged, he'll make it alright!!! Stay strong and keep me in your prayers.

Well I get up this morning feeling better about everything that is going on, all of the changes and adjustments Im about to make when I get a call from the surgery center!!! My first thought is what now, apparently they had lost all of my paperwork including my sleep study and my cardiac clearence which is a must for surgery!! So now Im having to scramble to find all of these records and I feel like Im getting no where. Where is my light because this tunnel is getting narrow...

Yesterday was my final consultation before I have surgery on the 17th. I was full of so many different emotions. I had lost an additional one lb big whop but I guess it's better than being one lb heavier! All of the test an everything were back in and the Doctor gave me the green light for surgery! Im on a liquid diet prior to surgery and let me just say this Blows .. I am soooo hungry!  It will be worth all of the diets, all of the doctors visits, and all of the fighting with the insurance companies!!!! Size 22/24 bye bye.. Size 9/10 here I come!!!!
