Kinda wondering something I am dwindled down to one cardiologist in this town that is still mulling over whether or not he will be able to give me cardiac clearance? A physical and an EKG cannot be that hard, come on people. Well I guess I am gonna have to bite the bullet and make another long trip to Greeley besides the one I have to take at the end of this month. Hopefully it wont be snowing this time. I do not want a repeat of last time...A three hour drive turned into almost seven.  Thats how I looked when I got home at almost midnight!

Well spent the day going back and forth with a cardiologist's assistant. After three call backs and about four hours she finally tells me that the doctor does not think that the clearance 'they' are requesting does not need to be done by a cardiologist. So I tell her that it may not need to be done by a cardiologist but that is what my Doctor wants and what my doc wants I am gonna try to give him. So I will probably hear from her tomorrow, I hope! Anyway, I spoke with a nice lady with Dr. Johnell's office and she was very helpful and I am sure this will get taken care of soon. I will keep my fingers crossed cuz two months goes mighty fast. Oh yeah, I have to lose 13 lbs. too, I will be tryin my best but weightloss has been impossible for me unless I starve myself,  LITARALY! I am gonna try.

 Ok, nobody seems to know what cardiac clearance is, Not even the cadiologists office!!! This is much too early to start hitting bumps.  Anyway I have messages into everyone!

I did it! Seen the doctor for the first time yesterday and it was great. His assistant, Carol, interviewed me first and she was very thourow and very nice. As long as my blood tests, x-rays, and cardiac clearance comes thru its a GO!!! Shooting for July!!

Ok, I am already getting anxious. I have my first consult one week from tomorrow and I am already tapping my foot. Sheesh, just thinking that my actual surgery wont be for a few months. Just that now that I have made the decision and picked a doctor and made the first appointment I want to jump ahead to the surgery already!!!!! Well at least the first step has been made I guess.

Well yesterday I finally called to make my initial consultation appointment!! I have to travel to Denver on the 7th to finally start this exciting journey..I am soooo ready!!

Good day everyone, I hope your easter is going great!! I am at my parents house for easter dinner. And today I am telling everyone that my surgery  is  going to be going ahead full steam. I haven't mentioned anything to my family in a year about my wieght because my whole family has a problem with wieght and I got really tired of getting upset that this diet and that diet just didnt work so about a year ago I told everyone forget diets, I will no longer be on a diet, I am going to change my choices and get more exercise. Well having done that I feel better but I havent lost a single pound. I did tell my sister yesterday and all she said was 'WOW'  and then proceded to tell me about the latest diet she was on. I hope she does good.  Have a wonderful day everyone.

Well here i am laying in bed (should be asleep) thinking about Doctors. You see I have two doctors who will be able to do my surgery and I am not sure which one I want to change my life. Is there any suggestions on how to pick your doctor? They both seem equally qualified, they have both done about the same amount of procedures. So should I base my decision on financial matters? Distance from my home? I am just not completely sure.

  As I type I am on the phone with my regular doctor trying to get my records from the doctor because financial people just called that there should not be a problem with my insurance!!!!!yahhhhh!!!!!

3-15-08   So many questions, and so far they are getting answered! So I am beginning my journey.
  
  I have a good friend at work, she had the surgery (RNY) 6 years ago, since I found this out I have been bombarding her with questions everyday. She has been terrific, answering all my questions with factual answers. I ordered my initial packet two days ago, and freaked out when the last thing they told me was ' if you are a smoker, you have to quit before your initial consultation'. Well, thats not something I was expecting. I have cut way down anticipating surgery, as with any surgery anesthesialogist have a fit when they find out you smoke. Well I asked my friend about this and she looked me straight in the eye and said " Because you could DIE" . So I will be quiting completely before my initial consultation!!  I cant wait till the packet gets here.
