I began thinking about weight loss surgery after my sister told me she was going to get the lap band. I officially started my insurance company time line on May 1st, 2010. I had resisted the idea of surgery for a long time, and my primary care physician actually said he would drop me as a patient if I did it. Well, since the advent of laparascopic gastric bypass, my PCP has changed his tune and is actually happy that I am having it done.
I have not told many people about this, but the ones I have told are very supportive. As it gets closer, I am having second thoughts, and when I have doubts, I come to this website to get some inspiration.
