Week 12

I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and I feel great so far. I am managing to get most of my protien in thriough food, which is great. I am trying to get back into working out at the gym since I pay a membership fee there. It is so hard though because I am in the middle of my algebra class and another hard class which takes up ost of my time. The rest of my time is spent taking care of my kids, cooking dinner, and trying to clean the house up. I sure hope I find time soon. I can eat anything pretty much. I had steak last night and it did fine. I only had a little bit thogh because we also had crab legs. I made a straberry short cake and I had some strawberries from it. It was so good with some sugar free whip topping. I am down to 255 pounds now. I have 5 more pounds and I will be down where my hubby is. I can not remember the last time I was down this low but I feel great. I will try and update after my doctors vsit.

Week 11

Everything is going good, I recieved my upcal saturday and I am trying it out today so wish me luck on that. I need my calcium so I hope it igood. I recieved my protien samples also and I am trying them today also. I do pretty good with getting my protien in with food but it is just not quite enough so I need a little extra. I am down from 265 to 260 today. Yea I am so happy about that. I am trying to make time to exercise but I am taking algebra and it is hard to have time for anything else right now, I already have another class to also keep up with on top of that class. I am hoping to make time for it today no matter what. I feel great and have not had any complications so far. I can eat almost anything I want. I choose not to eat sugar, most carbs, and fried foods. I do eat out but only at sit in reastraunts because the fast food just doesnt have anything good for me to eat or anything I really want to eat. I ate at Chilis yeaterday and it was so good but of course most of my meal came home like usual, but my hubby took it for his lunch today. I have to admit Chilis has the best soup ever which is the chicken and green chili soup with fresh avacados and cilatro in it. It is really good, but I mainly eat the broth and the avacodos out of it with a little bit of the chicken. Anyway This week was good and I we had fun. I spent most of the weekend doing math but what time I spent with family was fun. I hope everyones weekend was great and I will blog next week especially after my doctors appointment on monday.   Oh an for anyone with Baptist here is Pensacola do not forget the support group meeting is tomorrow at 6:30.

Week 10

Well I am 10 weeks out and I feel great. I went to red lobster last night with my family for my little girls b-day and I ate shrimp with no problems. That was so good. I do not have many problems with food but I am just so glad I do not feel the need to eat all the time. I eat 2 to 3 times a day and feel great about that. I am finally done with this last set of classes so now I can go back to working out. Well I weigh 265 , down from 340 and that is just wonderful. Well I will write again next week.

week 9

Well I am on week 9 of being post op and I am a little bothered by the fact I have only lost a pound this week. I havent been working out like I should because my finals are comming up this week and I have to have everything ready for them. I am trying to eat right but mostly I am eating hand held cicken noodle soup because it is easy to make and eat. Things will be bettetr next week and hopfully my diet and exercise will go back on track. Well Thats all for now, I see Dr. Friedman on th 14th and I hope I lose more before then. I will update again soon.

Week 8

Well I found something that is great for protien and is very easy to eat. I made ground turkey meatballs tonight and they were really good. My family loved them. I am doing great. I have lost a good amount of weight and I am starting to see it now. I feel great. I am not working out regualrly right now but that will change once my boy goes back to school. I am in college right now and my finals for my classes are comming up and that is why I am not doing as much out and about. I know it is important which is why I am making sure to get back with it. I am doing good with protien and water but my calcium is another story. Well am down to 270 now and that is so great. I will update next week.

Week 7

I am on week number 7 and I am trying to incorporate foods that are healthier for me to eat like fresh veggies with greek yoguart dip and salad. I am not sure how either of these are going to go yet but its worth a try. I always have my chicken and noodle hand soup if things do not go well. I also have my 2 favorite healthy choice meals that I use to love before surgery. I hope I can 1 still eat them and 2 still love them. I am down to 275 and I am so excited about that. I can not even remember when I was down to this weight last. I believe it was beofre I even moved here to pensacola. I think right after my son was born was the last time I was around this weight which he is about to turn  9 years old next month. WOW I can not believe it. I really need to get back to the gym now that I have been released to full activity. Well thats all for now, I will post again soon.

Doctor update

I went to see Dr. Friedman and he said I am doing great and I look great and I have no restrictions now. I can exercise, life, run, jump, and eat what ever I want. I do not have to worry about tomatoes or mustard, or onions, or even raw veggies. It is so nice to know I can eat what I want now. I am not saying I am going to eat things I should not I just want some flavors and now I can have them. I have lost a total of 35 since surgery. My BMI went from 59.4 before surgery to 49 now. I have lost a total of 60 pounds since this all started. I am so happy right ow and can not wait till my next mini goal is reached, which is for me to reach 250. I did reach a mini goal over the weekend. It was to fit in a booth comfortably. Where we were the booths are not that big and I fot in it. I still do not think I would be able to fit in waffle house booths but I doubt I will even go there. Anyway I thought I would update.

Week 6

This weekend was not a good weekend for me. My moms dog, which was my dog first got hit by a car. He is black and it gets pitch black on thier street so we did not see him get out of the gate when we were comming in. He made it up to the main road and got hit. My parents were devastated but mostly my dad because that was his dog. He played with him everyday and they had a special bond. It was so sad and started the new year off in a bad way. Now for me I have been eating ok but I was having a hard time getting my protien in this weekend and yeaterday I did not do well on my water at all. I am back on my schedule today and I hopefully back on track. I have stayed the same weight for 4 days now but I think it is because of my lack of protien and water. Now that I am back to my normal routine I think I will see a loss again. Anyway I am down to 281 and I am happy about that. I still feel great and I am eating pretty good. I am finding that I like the hand held soups the best because they are easy to make, easy to eat, and they are good. Well I will update again after my doctors appointment on the 5th, we will see if my scales are off.

Week 5

I am doing good and made it through christmas. I found the hardest thing through christmas is getting my water in. I am so busy and going from store to store that it was hard to get my water in. I was having to buy a bottle of water everytime I went to a new store. I did ok though and managed to eat good foods. I did eat a little bit of sweet things but they were sugar free and the fat grams were really low. I do not want to feel deprived because that is what makes me want to make bad choices. I do not feel a little bit of a sweet things here and there is a bad thing as long as that is all I am having of it. I also make sure my protien and water is in before I eat it so I am not wasting a chance to get it in. I am down to 287. I am so happy about that. My clothes are not getting big yet but I feel good and I do see my stomach does not stick out as much. I also went down one size in most of my shirts. Hope everyone had a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Week 4

I am having a hard time telling myself I am only 4 weeks into this journey. I keep thinking I am so much further out and I should be able to eat about anything. I am not saying I want to eat everything , I am just tired of having to watch what might have tomatoes in it, or it can not have onions in it, and it can not have any citrus or spiciness to it. These are what make dishes taste good and stand out. I can not wait till I get cleared for these things. Right now dishes seem so bland without these things because everything that has a good flavor is on my NO list. I am ok with no breads or sugar I just want my flavors. Ok now that my rant is over....... I had a suprising moment today. I weighed myself on Monday of last week, which was week 3 and I decided to weigh myself  today just 1 day shy of week 4. I went from 293 to 289. I was shocked because it doesnt feel like I have lost anything but I am happy. I went shopping with my family and then we ate at outback ( I take my meal to my hubby because I only eat 2 ounces of it). I wanted to try lamb and unfortunately I did not like it so I ate a tiny piece of my moms chicken and some veggies. It was good but next time it will definately be the grilled chicken. The chicken was so moist and juicy. Anyway I will write again soon.
