Beginning the journey

I sent in my packet to Dr. De La Torre's office a week ago and they called me up yesterday for a psych eval! September 28th is when that is scheduled for..that was WITH a cancellation! It can't come soon enough!!
I weigh 230 and this is the heaviest I have ever weighed. Funny that at OH I am a relative "lightweight" but in my own life I am very much a "heavyweight!"
I am praying that I will be a suitable candidate for this surgery. I do not have sleep apnea or diabetes, which are the golden things to have with my BMI, but I do have high cholesterol and joint pain and other smaller conditions. I am hoping that those will be enough for the surgeon and the insurance company to approve me. I can of course eat my way to a higher obesity but that seems ridiculous when I am ready to make this change NOW!
