Update 11/30/10

Nov 30, 2010

I am still humming along in maintenance.  I can eat sugar and even some fried foods now and it does not bother me at all--nothing like when I first had surgery.  This is not a good thing necessarily because it means I have to be even more diligent about making good choices, which I do 95% of the time.  For Thanksgiving, I had a bite of everything, even desserts and it was more than enough.  Ironically, I lost a lb last week!  I continue to work out 5x a week and am really building my running endurance.  Knock wood, the knee is doing pretty good lately.  I even did P90X plyometrics last night and no knee pain!  We are hiking more now that the weather is cooler and will try to get one in this Sunday.

Working out has been much more pleasant now that DH is doing it again with me.  I do not like running in the cold though and will enjoy that more when Spring comes.

I put up all my Christmas decorations over the weekend, which for those that know me, know it is a lot!  It is amazing the energy I have now.  I must've gone up and down those basement stairs a zillion times carrying buckets of stuff and I never really got tired.  This surgery truly gave me back my life!
