My first appointment went great but I was so incredibly nervous!  My BP was 194/104 and I was covered in hives by the time the doctor came in the room.

He said I'm a PERFECT candidate for surgery and can expect to lose between 100-150 lbs with the LapBand depending on how hard I want to work.

Gosh...I REALLY want this!

I began this crazy wonderful journey in January of 2009, after struggling with my weight my entire life.  Ironically enough, I had been out to lunch with my co-workers and one of them began talking about her mother's upcoming weight loss surgery.  I had thought about surgery many times before and even called my insurance company, but my insurance has an exclusion on our plan.  When we got back from lunch that day, I was stuffed and miserable.  I got out my husband's insurance card and called his company.  THEY COVER WLS!  I was pumped.  I attended a seminar by my surgeon a week later and here I am.
