At Last!!!!

I was approved for my surgery yesterday and will have it on Monday, Nov. 15!!!!!! I'm still in shock. After eight years of trying and four different doctors, I finally found the right doctor and everything just fell together. On my part, I have learned that exercise is essential. Even if the house is not as tidy as I would wish it to be, exercise takes precedence over housework. Even today, while it is rainy and miserable, I cannot wait to get out and go for a walk. As for the surgery, it will be a bit more of an ordeal than for most patients because I have to have an open incision, not laproscopic. Too many hernia surgeries have left my tummy just a mess of scar tissue. And my stay will be until Thursday or Friday. But I am the happiest old lady in the whole wide room because my dreams of a better life are about to come true.
