Week 35

May 03, 2009

Please don't judge. I know. I recognize that i'm absolutely horrible at keep updated on here. I'm so good though on myspace lol. and youtube. I document my progress there than anyplace else! lol. Well it's been a staggering long month!!!! I was stalled for quite a long time in the 180's. And i'm pleased to announce i finally broke my stall! i'm now in the 170's sitting pretty at 176! not to mention that means i'm 99lbs. down since surgery! OMG! lol. i broke my stall by doing the 5 day pouch test! that is such an awesome tool! if you haven't heard of it yet i suggest you check it out. Are you having problems with fullness? not getting full anymore? that's exactly what happened to me. it's like, "wth??? i thought i got surgery? is this thing broken?" thank god for the 5 day pouch test, basically whatit is, is it helps you get back on track to basics, and while you're on the plan for 5 days, it helps you shrink your pouch back  down, not to mention it's awesome to help break stalls and even lose a couple pounds. I lost 3 pounds going on it.

Stalls are a nightmare!

Mar 15, 2009

Sighs* It has now been almost 3 weeks! and i can't seem to break this stall! God i've even upped my exercise to at least 2 hrs a day on the treadmill for 3.5 mph.  I totally took out wheat products out of my diet, since they have more carbs.  as soon as i started eating wheat thats when the stall happened. So no more of that! hopefully i'll have a better weigh in sunday...

Sunday weigh in -3lb loss and a Reunion! n_n

Feb 16, 2009

Well I weighed myself on Sunday which is my weigh day, And I've lost 3 pounds! last sunday's weigh in i was 190! and this sunday i'm 187. It's a good loss. But now i'm in a dilemma... I know it shouldn't bother me but it's odd. My fiancee is in the National Guard, and he's been deployed to afghanistan for over a year! Believe it or not  he's coming home sometime at the end of this week or the beginning of next week hopefully! I'll finally be able to see him again! The odd thing about it is... He never saw me at my highest weight, which was 275, when he was here for R&R (rest and relaxation from deployment for 2 weeks) he saw me at 232lbs. he said I looked heavier than the last time -_- but he only said that because i asked if i looked different. anywho... i'm 187 now. and I wonder what he's gonna think when he sees me now. I'd like to be in the 170's before he comes home for good, but if i can't oh well. I miss him and i really want to see him! He's on his way to the states now! but we don't know how long it will take for him to get to the base so i can pick him up. this waiting is killing me, but in the meantime if gives me more time to work out and lose more weight before he comes! n_n
well, that's all for now!
see ya!

I need to update on here more often >_<

Feb 13, 2009

Hi All!
I know I barely update on here, and I'm going to change that as of now!
Lately I've been updating my journey on youtube! I'm very connected to the Weight Loss Surgery Community on there! Everybody is so accepting and so supportive. Not to say no one is here, I just still have to get used to this website :S

So lets start from the beginning!....  Ok so as of last year (september 3rd 2008) I had my Roux En Y Gastric Bypass Surgery. Lets just say that this was the most incredible experience of my life! Not to mention that the miracles just keep happenening as the days go by!  I went into this whole journey of WLS with many doubts. How could i not? I failed so many times in the past to get myself healthy, what was going to make this method any better? Well my mother always use to say, "you'll never know until you try!" of course she's the one that went through this surgery with me, she was scared to death of losing me on the table, because lets face it, this was my first surgery for anything! We werent' sure if my body would handle the extremities of going under the sleeping gas or if it could handle all those instruments going inside me, and of course there's the fear of leakage, bowel obstruction yada yada right?  Thankfully I've had no complications as of yet. Thank the lord! lol.

So after I got out of surgery I've noticed how fast the changes were coming! I loved how i could barely eat! that sounds a bit anorexic, but after a lifetime of gorging, i needed some sort of discipline! and RNYGBP is just what the doctor ordered! Literally! lol. Of course I was given guidlines on how to change my lifestyle, what to eat, what not to eat, how much sugar or fat I could handle. but at the same time, I wasn't really given any good ideas on what to eat afterwards... what was I going to eat for the rest of my life in order for these changes to stay with me? So I decided to do some research on Amazon.com and found some good books to help me out! "Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery", "Weight Loss Surgery For Dummies" and the recipe book Eating well! Saved me! What's funny is before this surgery, I didn't cook at ALL! nor did i have the desire to. Hence Why i always and constantly ate fast food. So it's another positive in my life. WLS forced me to start cooking, and even cook healthy!

What's funny about it, is after finding all these delicious healthy recipes, I don't feel like I'm missing out on all those bad foods I used to crave. Chocolate turns me off, Fast food makes me gag, and cake makes me want to hurl! lol who would've thought that the girl with a monstrous appetite was now reduced to this dainty "oh i'm too good for that" type of attitude towards food? lol

Basically what I'm trying to say is, I am just so flabbergasted by all these magnificent changes that RNY has done for me, it's hard to believe that this is the first ever Weight Loss Method that is really working for me.  I started my journey at a size 20 at 275lbs. with lots of headaches, joint pain, labored breathing, and low self-esteem to boot! I'm not done though, I still have a ways to go. Currently I'm 188lbs. and a size 12 with butt loads of energy, no pain, and A life I thought I could never experience! I hope to be 145lbs. be the end of this summer! that's my goal weight anyway lol.  But even though this road has been tough, And I'm doing my best to beat this battle with obesity, I surely could not have gotten this far without the support my parents, Or my lovely friends and family at Youtube! I encourage anybody to get into a support group to help with whatever journey you're on! It helps tremendously!
