Hello all , things are going ok I had my post OP appt  and I'm still in some pain from the surgery,  but I lost 8 pounds so far and I don't feel hungry  at all which is quite different.  Well I wanted to give you an update thanks melinda 

Hi all well surgery went well ,just lots of pain. Does anyone know how long the pain lasts or when it will ease up some? Thanks melinda

Hello all, well I am 4 days out to surgery .we have all the clear protein and other protein powder after. I'm getting more anxious as the days go. Does anyone have any advice for me. I am so ready for this. Thanks melinda 

Hi all, things went well with the appt for my pre op and nutrician class they went over a lot that I already knew from my appts earlier on. But I did find out that I have to do shots twice a day after surgery to prevent blood clots ,I'm not to excited about that part but I guess it all part of my new life journey and i still have to do the b12 shots,once a month. I am now less then 2 weeks from surgery getting everything I need for after pill crusher for medication and small contains to hold the couple of ounces of food and clear protien drink mix for clear liquid week and full as well. I am so ready. If anyone has any advice of what I might need or wants to share their experience after gasteral bypass surgery it would be much appreciated to hear about. Thanks Melinda  

Hi all, well finally got my pre testing done my surgery date will be here before I know it .My next date is on the 25th pre op and nutrician class then my phisical with my pcp  and the surgery on July 10 I'm less then a month away. If anyone has any advice much appreciated thanks Melinda 

Hi all, now I have all the dates before surgery, it seems like a lot of testing but I will do what is needed of me to get healthy. Does anyone know what they do for prescriptions that are not available in liquid form? And I got my blood test for my b12 shots and it was over 1000 is that on the high side it was close to 2000 ? I will take any advice on what to ask at my appt before my surgery and at the nutrician class as well? Thanks Melinda 

Hi all,  I finally got my surgery date July 10 ,of course I have pre op testing and pre op visit with the Dr and nutrician class as well before surgery ,I'm glad I finally have a date ,thanks for all the support and if anyone has advice for getting ready for surgery and what to expect thanks Melinda 

Hi all, well been waiting on the insurance company to approve surgery and place ,so far they have approved place that I know of. I just wish it was a quicker process. Waiting is horrible. I just recently found out I have more medical issues that have arised wich means another back surgery down the road. Not the new I wanted to hear, but I take I day at a time. And since it's nice we have been going for walks for exercize to help with my weight loss too keep on track well hopfully my next update is the date of my surgery. Hi all, well I went to Dr appt today ,the doc said the gasteral bypass is the best and he approves of this surgery now we have to wait for the insurance approval. Does anyone know how long that takes I am so ready I lost anther 4 pounds I had to go down in size in my knee brace which I am excited about it means I'm getting smaller. I hope the insurance comes back quickly. They told me today once I have a surgery date we have to schedule pre tests and pro opt and nutrician class. I'm one step closer , well have a good day thanks Melinda 

Hi all ,well today is the day before I found out the tests results from the two tube tests (the 24 montering probe and swallowing test ). This will tell us which surgery  the Dr  recommends. I am looking forward to know what is in store for me next. What surgery and when it is going to happen. My stomach feels like it is in knots I guess nerves have a lot to do with it.
