6-24-2003 THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT MOMMA !! AND I HOPE YOU HAVE SUCCESS IN FINDING A SURGEON. I THINK YOU SHOULD TRY DR SAPALA OR DR WOOD FROM THE CORI CENTER. THEY TAKE MEDICARE PATIENTS BECAUSE THATS WHAT I HAVE.AND THEIR ISN'T ANY MONEY UP FRONT. I ALSO CALLED MEDICARE DIRECTLY AND THE ONLY THING THEY REQUIRE TO PAY FOR THE SURGERY IS THAT 1.YOU ARE OBESE 2.YOU HAVE OTHER HEALTH PROBLEMS CAUSED BY BEING OBESE OR 3. EXISTING HEALTH PROBLEMS THAT ARE AGGRAVATED BY BEING OVERWEIGHT. THIS IS WHAT I WAS READ FROM THEIR "RULE BOOK ". DR WOOD IS OUT OF WARREN , MICHIGAN AND DR SAPALA IS OUT OF JACKSON.THEY ARE ALSO LISTED , ALONG WITH THEIR OTHER PARTNER AS BEING THE TOP RATED SURGEONS IN MICHIGAN FOR THIS TYPE OF SURGERY AND THEY HAVE NO PROBLEM ACCEPTING HIGH RISK PATIENTS. MIGHT BE WORTH YOUR TIME TO CHECK WITH THEM. WELL I 'LL PRAY FOR YOU TOO BE SUCCESSFUL WITH YOUR JOURNEY AND WISH ALL MY BEST.
