I got my date!!!! August 2, 2010. Pending final insurance approval!

    So today they are submitting my paperwork to my insurance. I won’t have a decision for 10-14 days. This is pure torture! I want to know and I want to set a date already! I’ve had major anxiety for the last week and I’ve been eating until I’m in physical pain ;(   I’m hoping and praying I’m approved. If I don’t get this surgery I know I will be overweight my entire life ;(

Hey OH!   So yesterday I went to my nutritionist and can I just say that it is cruel and unusual punishment for a man that beautiful be the one who weighed me in at 298.6 lbs! Anyways, now that is done and I have to wait until my patient Coordinator to come back in on Monday to submit my paperwork and then wait through the torture of not knowing if I’m approved or not. I hope so. I meet all the requirements, I have done everything they required and i am healthy enough to have surgery.    I originally wanted the band and then I decided on the sleeve but my surgery didn’t cover it so I opted for RNY, but my insurance just approved the sleeve on May 15^th so I’m going to try for that one. I really like the idea of not rearranging my intestines and knowing I won’t have as many issues with vitamin deficiency. I know weight loss is slower but I’m ok with that.   I will definitely update you guys soon ;)

Nervous, Anxious and sooooo excited! Tomorrow i go in for my final visit to my PCP ( my insurance requires 6 consecutive monthly visits to my doctors while monitoring my diet)

After that, i go to the nutritionist and that is my final step. I have already been cleared by the psychologist and my primary in on board.

I'm hoping i get approved quickly. I would like to have my surgery in July.
