I Just got the phone call. BCBS finally approved me!!!!

My information was not submitted to insurance until this past Tuesday due to a mix up in the doctors office (they could really benefit from some new office staff). I have called BCBS everyday and my approval is still pending. This waiting is so hard. It probably wouldn't be this hard if I hadn't been denied 3 times already! Anyway, I'll post when I have an answer.

I was diagnosed with diabetes on Wednesday and my information was submitted to BCBS on Thursday. Yes, I am giving it another try to be approved to have RNY. Wish me luck and send some prayers my way. I am getting bigger and bigger. I need help!

BCBSNC denied me again! I just can't take this rollercoaster ride any longer.
My life has been up in the air for the past 4 months waiting on nothing as it seems. I guess BCBSNC thinks that 238 pounds for me is a healthy weight!!! They can kiss my

Another Weekend

Well I finally got up the nerve to call BCBS yesterday (twice) and they said my request was still pending. BCBS did give me some interesting information though. They informed me they did not receive the request (fax) until Tuesday. Dr Enochs' office told it was faxed on Friday. That info could have saved me a few days of stress!!!! I'll post the answer as soon as I have one. Keep me in your prayers.

My information for Lap Band surgery was submitted to BCBSNC today. Please, please pray for me. I want/need this so badly.
A new route

Well, I have decided to try a new route. I am going to see Dr Enochs on Thursday and have him submit all of my information for the Lap Band. I do not "qualify" with BCBSNC for the gastric bypass since my BMI has just this year reached 40 and I have just in the past few months been diagnosed with comorbidities. Lisa, NP said she feels like I will get the results I am looking for from the Lap band. So please keep me in your prayers. It would be so easy for me to give up at this point.

My dreaded letter came today! Denied again. I am very discouraged. Any suggestions on where to go from here? I left a message with Lisa, NP, however she didn't return my call today.

Well, I mailed my appeal letter to BCBSNC today (Friday). Now I have to turn it over to God. I am going to try and not stress about the possibility that I will get denied a second time. If it is meant to be it will happen. I want this so badly. Hopefully I will hear something before the end of the 30 days.
