Jamie - I don't know if you have tried s/f popsicles they count toward liquid intake. I was able to eat a few a day (but be careful later on when you are able to eat - they do contain 15 calories).
Also I agree constantly carrying the water bottle with you helps - try freezing a couple at night then as you take them out and they melt they will remain colder a lot longer - it's easier for me to drink cold now than room temp. Good luck.
By the way when I was on liquid - I couldn't wait for my first egg. I was craving a boiled egg like crazy...it made me sick. I didn't remember it's "only one small egg in our pre-op mind" but post op body may not tolerate it and don't forget to eat slooooooooooooowly.

I pulled my drivers license out. I wrote down 190 and haven't weighed that in over 15 years! I think I never wanted to put down over 200 (didn't want hubby to see that! Like I could hide it or something).
Nan that is another WOW moment - reaching your "I am ok with the weight on my drivers license moment"....hehehehe

WOW WOW WOW...This was great I was down on the puter a couple of days and have been catching up on the posts. This is great cause these mini-wows make a whole BIG WOW. My mini-wow - I was giving my husband an update on my weight loss (I am now at 203 - 4lbs to go to be under 200!) when he said "I can't believe you weigh over 200lbs - you are so tiny".
Now now I know I am far from tiny but compare to where I was I appear to be lots smaller. My mid-section is just sooooo big - I can't wait till it catches up to the smaller parts of my body!

I almost forgot my weekend WOW moment
Jun 13, 2006
This weekend I went to baby shower with my two boys. My 14 yo (who looks about 16) was hanging out playing the games and we were all laughing away. A woman who I had never meet asked me if he was my son - I of course answered yes - she looked at me and said you look way too young for him to be your son.

Thank you

((((((((((AMY)))))))))))) welcome home - I am in tears right now reading your post. I went to Marine World yesterday. I am three months post op and down 53lbs - WHAT A DIFFERENCE 53LBS MAKE! I rode the rides with my kids most of the time them trying to "catch" up to me (I am a much faster walker - always thinking of burning calories) - I tried a few bites (remember our bites are now nibbles for all of you who are pre-op) of dippin dots ice cream - and woke up this morning weighing 1 lb less. I can't wait to walk in the turn-stiles straight on. I feel your high! My son Chato was so excited that I was getting on the rides (I think he could hardly believe that I was even remotely interested in getting on them).

I am almost 3 months out and occasionally my stomach says I need to eat something-it really is hard to explain because pre-op combination of mental and physical hunger was obliviously dangerous - it doesn't go along hand and hand anymore - maybe that is the difference?

Happy 29th birthday Amy...We appreciate you here and can't wait for you to get back and give us your wow moments update! Give Mickey & Minnie huge hugs from us folks here at the board.
I am going to an amusement park on Sunday and just this morning during the my walk I shared with my husband how excited I am to go...that I will be walking all day and I am confident that I won't be holding people back by wanting to sit and "enjoy" the view. My dh looked at me (remember he is the one with the naturally athletic build - looks like he works out - his biggest work out is lifting a Corona bottle for a drink) and said I never realized how hard it was for you - your poor feet.
