Dr. Baranov and his staff are beyond AMAZING! From the very start they were friendly and personable. The whole team is on top of everything from confirming apts, asking questions and telling you what to expect. I am never afraid to call or ask a question because they are there waiting to help. The program itself is very well layed out and easy to follow. Dr. Baranov makes sure you are able to follow the program and be the healthiest person you can be during your journey. He is JUST FABULOUS!!!!!

Dr. Baranov is amazing! This was my first surgery and I was very nervous but Dr. Baranov has a wonderful bedside manner which really put me at ease. It is very apparent he always puts his patients first. He not only tells you what to do but takes the time to inform you why which was greatly appreciated. Having a firm understanding of why you need to do things he asks allows you to understand and take every request seriously. He is the prefect balance of stern yet compassionate in the way he treats his patients. I also enjoyed the pictures he took during the surgery and printed for me. It was really neat to see what exactly it looked like. I highly recommend him not only because of his bedside manner but also because of his skill level. My incisions were tiny and my pain was very minimal. I went home after one day and had no need for any pain medicine. He even called me over the weekend to check up. The practice staff is also wonderful. They make the process easy to navigate through and are very considerate of your time. Overall I am so happy for a second chance and cannot thank the whole practice enough.

I recently had gastric sleeve surgery preformed at Saratoga Hospital by Dr Dmitri Baranov. My experience with Dr Dmitri Baranov and his practice have been wonderful. I cannot say enough positive things about my entire experience with Dr. Baranov - from my initial call to his office, attendance at one of his informational seminars, appointments with him and his staff, and finally my surgery at Saratoga Hospital. His surgical team and nursing staff are outstanding. Not only did I have a great conversation with him before my surgery, but he was there when I woke up, he visited me that evening and the next morning, and before I left the hospital the following evening. His call to my home to follow-up with me was through, comforting and positive. I would recommend his office and Saratoga Hospital to anyone considering this surgery!

Dr. Baranov and his team have given me the tools to be successful in losing weight. He and his team were supportive, encouraging, professional, andcourteous. My overall impression and experience was most pleasant. They made it easy for me to stay on track. Always a phone call away and very accompanying with appointments. Staff at Saratoga hospital were very nice as well, even called me the day after I was released to check on me, as did Dr. Baranov himself, calling me at home on a Saturday afternoon to make sure I was doing well. I had my Gastric Bypass surgery with Dr Baranov on September 24th, 2014. Dr. B and staff were great in the preparation towards surgery. I had no worries and felt completely at ease. I had my gallbladder out in 2011 and was really scared of the pain after the surgery, but Dr. B assured that this was going to be different. And it was! Coming out of surgery and waking up in recovery I felt none to very little pain. Once in my room I made sure to follow his instructions. I was released 1 day early because my recovery was going so well. To my surprise, Dr. B called me at home to see how I was doing. I never had a doctor personally call me at home. Since surgery I have called the office a few times with questions. Sarah (the PA), the nurses (Jim and Crystal) and the staff have always been great to answer questions, returning calls and overall great. I have recommended Dr. Baranov already to a few friends that are looking into weigh loss surgery. Since the start of my journey I have lost 52lbs already and I attribute my success to all of them. Thank you Dr. Baranov!

I cannot say enough about Dr. Baranov and his entire staff. The program he has implemented at Saratoga Hospital is phenominal from the top down. I have never had a surgeon (or for that matter any other physician) who was so diligent about every detail leading up to and after my surgery, including calling me at home to 'check up' on things after discharge. The support group offers services that support the journey before, during and after.

Dr B. is awesome. What I came to appreciate most was his honest and straightforward approach with me. While losing weight to gain approval for surgery he was supportive but was also quick to point out that he knew I could be doing more. His subtle kick in the pants got me over the hump and he even thanked me after surgery for losing more weight so he did not have to do the open procedure. He treats his patients as individuals and I always feel he has our best interests in mind. When he moved to Saratoga it was a sad day for me but I'm excited that he continues to provide this service to others in the same position I was/am. I was 488 lbs the first time I met Dr. B. and headed for nothing but an early grave. Less than two years later I owe him a huge debt of gratitude as I weigh 226 lbs and, more importantly, am living an active lifestyle that even included running my first half marathon, at 47 years young, a few weeks ago. If you are considering bariatric surgery and have an opportunity to work with Dr. Baranov, do it! He can get the best out of you and will set you up to have the best chance of success.

Dr Baranov and his staff are amazing. He calls you personally once you are home from the hospital to check on you. The entire staff in the office is extremely friendly and supportive. Michelle is always so polite and friendly at the front desk. Jim Meyer is the best nurse I have ever been around. He is always there for me if I have questions or concerns. He has also been extremely supportive. Sarah Evans Is amazing as well, and she is always there to help should I need anything. Karann Durr the dietitian is amazing as well and she is always there to make sure you stay on track. Dr Baranov is a great man, and a better doctor. I cant stop talking about how amazing their practice is. I recommend Dr Baranov and his staff to anyone who is considering the gastric bypass. They definitely eased all the concerns I had going into the surgery. I was not nervous at all once i got to the hospital.
