After my intitial 90 minute consultation, my impression of Dr. Yaserebi is very positive. If I elect to go through with this procedure, I am confident that his methods and experience offer the best odds for success.

I first met Dr. Yasrebi at one of his seminars on Dec. 3, 2003. The next day I made an appt. for Dec. 8, 2003. I absolutely love him. He is so nice and funny. My husband is an R.N. and he also really liked him. He asked alot of questions I did'nt know to ask. Dr. Yasrebi is very proud and confident in his work. He seems to be a perfectionist which is exactly what I want when I'm having surgery. This is crazy, but I actually look forward to my monthly appt.s with him.

I met Dr. Yasrebi a little over a month ago in his Monthy meeting. My first impression of him was 'He really knows what he's doing.' I've had my consulation/exam appointment with him and he was extremely attentive and knowlegable. Michelle, Dr. Yasrebi's assistant is so sweet and helpful.

Dr. Yasrebi is a great physician. He spends the time with you, and gets to know you as a person. His staff is great. He really gets you prepared for the surgery, mentally and physically.

He's absolutely the best there is ... he makes you work for it, but I don't think I'd want to undertake something this life-changing without being a complete and total participant in my own care. My initial impression of him has only strengthened over the course of the last year ... I owe him my deepest gratitude for helping me take my life back. He's strict and he doesn't put up with those that aren't in this to play by the rules, but he also provides the closest to perfect results I've ever seen. If you're considering Dr. Yasrebi, please talk to me BEFORE you rule him out!

I was referred to Dr. Yasrebi by one of his patients. Because of her description of him and his procedures, I flew from Arizona to Jacksonville in order to meet with him. I was amazed that a busy surgeon would sit down with me for over 2 hours, discussing everything from my weight and health history to my feelings about food. Dr. Y is dedicated to his patients and shows such genuine enthusiasm for what he does, which makes all the difference.

By the time I got to surgery just this past week (August 21st), I was thoroughly informed about the possible risks and ways in which I could help avoid some of them. His "informed consent" meeting was very educational and fun. We went through 22 possible risks or negative side effects, discussed each one, and then he quizzed us on each of them in a very non-threatening way.

He was by my side the morning of surgery, checking to make sure my surgical stockings were secure and that I was doing okay. I am told by those who assist in the OR with Dr. Y that his procedures are excellent. My anesthesiologist -- Dr. Martin -- was wonderful as well. I wanted to listen to a tape I'd brought with me (Prepare for Surgery and Heal Faster) throughout the surgery. Dr. Martin made sure that my tape player was working and I was "plugged in".

After surgery, Dr. Y came to my room, helped me get dressed in pajamas, and walked with me on what was to be the first of many laps around the hospital floor. He has been completely available and caring.

Because of the steps Dr. Y insists you go through before surgery (losing 10% of your body weight, walking 2 miles every day, and blowing in a spirometer to develop your lungs) and those he insists you follow afterwards, he is able to have his patients released from the hospital within 23 hours of the surgery. Everyone I know finds this amazing. Most of your recuperation is done at home under the care of loved ones or, if you have no one nearby, "angels".

I know 100% perfect reviews are suspect, but I have to say that I have not yet had any negative reaction to Dr. Y or his treatment. My daughter (who is my caretaker) thinks highly of him, too, and Dr. Y is great about explaining things to her.

I feel very blessed to have both an extremely competent surgeon and one who is so funny and compassionate.

i have been to lwo of his learning sessions and have my first apt. with him on feb13. Big! i believe i have found the right guy for the job, with the right approach. we'll see. he seems very straight forward in his approach and is willing to put his stats out there for all to hear. it surprised me he ends people here to the site but has not bothered to update his own section.. wonder why. i guess i will ask him..

so i am now 23 days post op. the surgery went great, he was very attentive the first two weeks, now i call him when i have questions. he is a bit vague sometimes so ya have to be specific with your questions. generrally i like him and am grateful to have found him.

I am a nurse and appreciate a Dr who tells it
like it is...I'm just concerned of not being
approved for surg because of my insurance co.
and also, because I've been so sick...the past few week's I've not be able to loose the
weight I need for the surg to be done... Feel
like Dr Yasrebi is very strict in what he expects of his patients...Guess time will only tell if I'll get the opprotunity to have
my surg done...Please pray for me..for I feel
Dr. Yasrebi is the answer for me.

Dr.Yasrebi is a very calming man. I have ALWAYS been nervous in any doctors office. Not Dr. Yasrebi's. He makes you feel SO at ease and you will know beyond any doubt that he is the man you will trust with this life changing experience. I would not even consider any other doctor with this surgery. That is just my opinion but after you go to the meeting you will see for yourself.

He is a wonderful doctor. He really cares about his patients and their success.

My impression of him has not changed over the two years that I have known him.

His staff are very dedicated to his patients.

I love everything about him. He was in the middle of his daughter's graduation from college the week that I had my surgery. He called me back in the middle of her graduration from NY.

If the patient no longer has insurance he will try to work with you and your visit half price.

His aftercare is very structured. You go every week for the 1st month.

He consults with you and a member/friend the week prior to surgery to make sure all the risks are understood and you sign a form.

I would rate Dr Yas as a dedicated professional who really cares about his patients.

He has great bedside manner. You're up and walking probably two hours after the surgery and go home the next morning.
