Julie Leverton Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

Dr. Leverton was great she answered all my questions and made me feel very secure about the surgery.

My first inpression with Dr. Leverton was Wow she is young. She is very soft spoken and she looks right into your eyes as she tells you everything. Her staff is super. My personal counselor, Kim, was wonderful and she answered all the questions I had. Dr. Leverton really stressed how important it was to have someone there with me with my aftercare. She informed me of things that I would need assistance with...things I didn't even think of like laundry, dishes, cleaning, getting up and down, etc. She also informed me about the support group that they offer. As far as the risks, she told me/us everything. And when my father and best friend raised questions and concerns she was more than helpful. I would rate Dr. Leverton an 8...only because I have not seen her again since my consultation...but I am sure she is a 10.

Dr Leverton is a very kind and knowledgable dr. Good bed side manner from what I can tell at this time. There was a long long wait at the center in Wylie innitially. The enrollment process kept me there from my apptmnt 2 pm until almost 730 pm.

She was very thorough in every explanation, even drew pictures of what was to occur! :) She spent a good deal of time telling me every detail i could imagine.

(post op update) i must be the luckiest person! dr leverton is SUCH an excellent dr! she is so thorough, so kind and VERY understanding! if you've got ANY kind of problem or question, she is JUST A PHONE CALL AWAY! BTC does NOT have the attitude, "well you had your surgery, we're done!" no no no....they STRONGLY believe in support, care, maintenance after the surgery and go ABOVE AND BEYOND to continue to meet your every need. dr. leverton---absolutely a fantastic dr. cant say enough about her! i am very very happy with this decision!

Dr. Leverton was great she answered all my questions. She my look really young but she very smart and to the point.

I met with Dr. Leverton this afternoon and just as I imagined she was awesome! She took the time to explain all the procedures step by step the advantages, disadvantages, percentage rate (%) on complications, etc. Things I needed to get done before surgery, etc. Then I met Kim, Dr. Leverton's Patient Counselor and she was awesome as well. They where both very imformative and didnt mind any of the questions that I asked them. If you are concerneding having this procedure done, I would highly recommend BTC, Dr. Leverton and her staff to anyone. They are all awesome!!!

I was very impressed with Dr. Leverton, otherwise I
wouldn't be putting my life in her hands.
The lady that did my intake evaluation was
awesome. I wished I remembered her name. She
was one of those people you want to call her
boss and tell him or her how great she was. I
am a customer service manager and would love
to have her working for me.
Insurance was a breeze. Waiting for the decision
was the hardest part and it didn't take but four
weeks. After doing so much research the only
thing I wonder is if I should wait until Dr.
Leverton is equipped to do Lap. I am really
ready for the surgery so I probably won't.
It is weird but I am actually excited about
surgery.

I am 41, 6 1 and 350.

My first impression of Dr. Leverton was that she seemed very concerned and genuine. She spent alot of time with me and my husband and answered all of our questions. She even answered the questions that I had brought from my parents and sister(a med. student, who is very concerned). She also told me to have my sister call and she would talk with her about any concerns. All of the staff at the Bariatric Treatment Center were very friendly and helpful. Dr. Leverton went over the procedure, step-by-step and discussed the risks. She also talked about the aftercare program. I haven't talked with her since the consultation, but my husband and I have spoken to her assistant several times, and I know she has reviewed my file frequently to give me the go ahead for surgery. Overall, I would rate Dr. Leverton a 9, let's see what happens with the surgery.:)

Post-op: Dr. Leverton is a wonderful surgeon! I also have to report that everyone at The Bariatric Treatment Center was super! I could not have asked for better care. I was treated with much dignity,respect and kindness.

Dr. Leverton seems to be a very caring surgeon. I feel very comfortable that she will be the one doing the surgery.

Dr. Leverton is a quiet, intelligent and young woman. She is very capable, knowledgable and has a great bed side manner. She was very detailed in what the procedure would detail and this is not a "fix all" prodedure. I was extremely impressed with her attitude. I would strongly recommend Dr. Leverton to anyone who is interested in this life changing procedure. The BTC nurses were a god send! The only gripe I might have was that I was scheduled for surgery at 1:30 p.m. on October 22, 2001. BTC requested that I arrive by 11:30 a.m. that morning to get ready for the surgery. BTC was having "computer" problems on this day and I sat in the waiting room until after 1:30 p.m. before they could even begin getting me prepped for the surgery. (This is about a 2 hr process)
