Dr. Aslam is a very quiet man, I have actually only talked to him for a minute in the hospital, and on my second visit post op. He did a fabulous job with the surgery. I was up and out of bed the next morning raring to go.

I only met with Dr. Aslam once so far at my mid screening appt. He seems very nice and competent...I trust him. He has also spoken at a few of my support group meetings and I liked what he had to say. He was very honest and open about things and with answering questions. His staff is wonderful. Everyone has been so helpful. I will see him again on May 17 for my appt. before surgery, and hope to have lots of little questions answered.

I haven't met Dr. Aslam yet; May 10 is the day I have my history and physical with him before my surgery on May 23. The rest of the office staff has been great, however, and I've heard good things about Dr. Aslam from other patients.

My first impression of dr. A was why does he care so much? He's skinny what makes him care about fat people and thier health? My first meeting with him was a disappointing one cuz he had to tell me that my date had been changed. Even though deep down, I knew it wasn't his fault i still felt like it was cuz he was the one delivering the news. I wanted to cry. The next time i met him it was right before surgery and he was playing connect the dots on my stomach....his hands were really cold....lol. He checked on me often and invited me to a meeting he was giving at the hospital friday morning....I felt honored that i was invited. some other post op patients were there that i knew from the meetings and my family physician was there too. I still don't know why, but for wome reason he does care aboutus.....if he had it his way he'd operate on every morbidly obese person out there so they can have a longer and more healthy life.

Dr Aslam's office had to work very hard to get my surgery approved. I thank them for that. I used to work at the hospital where Dr Aslam does the surgery. I know he is a very good doctor. I had no problem choosing him.

Met Dr. Aslam on 3/06/01 my first impression is that he is very professional, he got right to the point making sure I knew everything I needed to know about the surgey and stressed the importance of aftercare. He also told me I should be able to have Lap surgery that made me excited. Jeannie had covered everything with me when I met her so I didn't have many questions for the Dr.

I have not met with Dr. Aslam yet my appointmnet is for March 27th 2001.
I met with Jeannie and she was absolutely wonderful. So far I feel very comfortable with the office staff and I feel they are very infomative and open to all questions and concerns. I attended my first support meeting on Thursday and enjoyed it Got alot of input from patients. I plan to continue with the meetings indefinately after surgery.

I met with Dr. Aslam today. I was prepared for him to be a quiet man as described by others instead I found him very open to questions and we talked about a wide range of things pertaining to wls. From our meeting and what i've researched I have complete confidence in him. He seemed very knowledegable about me specifically I didn't feel like a number and i wasn't rushed out of the office even though it was extremely busy today.

I had my 1st initial consultation w/ Jeannie on 2/27/01.

I have an appt to meet Dr. Aslam on May 10, 2001 to talk over which surgery is best for me.

Of the staff I have met, EVERYONE is very helpful and knowledgible.

A little brusque and rushed. I learned that he was motivated by a desire to really help people and his willingness to set up support groups and be sure people are sound canidates really impresses me. The office staff is all wonderful-especially Jeanne.
Least? Still think Dr. A acts like he doesn't have time for patients but he probably doesn't. Future patients just need to know that he has an excellent reputation as a surgeon and you need to be assertive about getting questions answered. Aftercare? Can't really remember but I do know that not all drs are calling for blood tests for vitamin levels each year like he does and that is very important. Risks? about as much as any dr. does, the staff and support group do a little more. Definitely best in area of surgical competence. He did my gall bladder removal this year as well and I have known many people who have had surgery with him and all input has been good about his skill. Negatives: it REALLY hurt bad when they removed my tubes post op and I felt there was no sympathy, preparation, or medication to have prevented that. It made me angry.

met with Dr Aslam today. He took the time to answer my thousands of questions. I feel comfortible with the decision to have the DS
procedure. I would have liked to have it lap rather than open but I do understand with my BMI it was not realistic.
I'm ready mentally for the surgery but wish it would get here.

I haven't met him yet. I had my first consult with his nurse, Jeannie Colter. I found her very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.
