My first impression of my surgeon was extremely positive, my biggest beef was with my insurance company. Dr. Ehrlich was ready to perform surgery within a few months of my first seminar but my insurance company made me dance thru a 12 month wait. The office staff is wonderful, straight shooters which I like ,no B.S. I have available to me all sorts of after care support, it's up to me to take advantage of it. I already knew the risks of surgery before I even went to my first seminar, I had researched weight loss surgery on the net for weeks before I took up space at a seminar. I knew what I was getting into from the very beginning. I did not see my surgeon after my procedure, I think he knows who needs to be seen and who he doesn't have to hold hands with!

I have to say that my first impression of Dr.Tim Ehrlich was wonderful. I actually introduced myself to him before the seminar. He along with Dr. Craig Flock did the first seminar that I attended. ( yes I went to more than one seminar). I found them both to be up front about the surgery. They answered questions without hesitation and that made me feel even more comfortable. Dr Ehrlich had been recommended to me by my gastrointerologist. After the presentation was over I got to speak to Dr. Ehrlich and that man is so down to earth. I made an appointment with the office the following day. When I went to the office I met with Dr. Ehrlich and also the Nurse Coordinator Vicky. The information, the instructions on all my other appointments that I needed was all on paper making it easy not to forget. Dr Ehrlich made me feel like I had known him for years. They want you to succeed and make sure that you know they are there for you. I can't say enough about the care, concern and bedside manner of all 3 Doctors. I have never been to a group of Doctors that care for their patients the way they do. To Dr. Ehrlich and Dr's Floch and the rest of the staff, I can't thank You enough for helping me start a new chapter in my life. May 5, 2006....my one yr anniversary was on May 3rd and even one yr later I cannot say enough about Dr. Ehrlich and his complete staff. Dr. Ehrlich is the most professional, compassionite Dr. I have ever met. He will leave no questions unanswered, even if you think they might be stupid to you.
The care, concern, support and always available for my concerns is a major plus for this Dr. and his staff. Thanks for making my new life a better life to look forward too

I first met Dr. Ehrlich at a seminar. He was coming from doing surgery at Norwalk Hospital. He just sat himself down and had a chat with everyone. He was very personable and easy to talk to. It's hard enough dealing with doctors who can look down on you when it comes to weight issues, but he was so open and friendly it was easy to just chat. After the seminar, even though he was extremely tired, he stuck around so that anyone who wanted to talk to him could get the chance. The office staff is always warm and friendly and has an upbeat attitude. I haven't been in the office all that much, but each time it was an open and friendly environment. There wasn't anything I didn't like about him. In the hospital he was warm and supportive. He made sure that the nurses stayed on top of things also. He flat out spoke about what the risks of surgery were. He didn't sugar coat anything. He wanted to make sure that you knew exactly what you were in for. It may have been a bit daunting to say the least in the beginning, but if you know anything about surgery it's that anything can happen. It's not something to take lightly and he just made sure that you knew that. The aftercare program is a lot like the pre-program. If you have any issues, there are the support groups, or just a phone call to talk to the office or him. There is no reason not to get an answer if you have a question or an issue. I loved working with Dr. Ehrlich and the office staff. I would say that his surgical competence and bedside manner work hand in hand. He treats each person like a person and not the surgery they had. I have some friends who have gone to the seminars, and also liked hearing and speaking with Dr. Ehrlich and the Dr. Flochs.

Now that I did the survey, I can speak alittle about Dr.Ehlrich and his staff, I'll keep it simple.
THEY GREAT PEOPLE MANY OTHER PLACES SHOULD COME AND TRAIN WITH HIS STAFF.

I have to say Dr. E is awesome! My friend Jan had surgery with him 3 yrs ago and I knew if she trusted him, I could trust him. Well, I was right. Surgery was uneventful and I'm 3 days post op and feeling good. I can't say there was anything I liked least about him, I really was impressed with him and his staff. Danielle, Elaine and Jaime were wonderful. As for the aftercare program - there are support groups set up all the time, this board is a great help and I plan to attend the post op meetings to keep myself in line.
He did address all the risks - they were very thorough about that. I would rate him an A+ for sure and would highly recommend him. His surgical competence bedside manner - both seem to be great! I can't say enough good about my surgeon.

As far as surgeons go, I only have good things to say about Dr. Ehrlich. I am a nurse and had done extensive research on WLS surgery prior to making my appointment with Dr. Ehrlich. I looked into two different surgeons and hospitals before making my decision. I know that my decision was the right one for me. Everyone associated with this group is professional and I would recommend them to anyone who is thinking about surgery. Dr. Ehrlich is intelligent, kind and has a sense of humor, which I find refreshing for a surgeon. My feelings about him were confirmed by one of the OR nurses who works with him. When she came to escort me to the OR, he was just finishing up answering my mother’s questions. As we walked to the OR suite, she said to me “You don’t find many like him around- I love working with him.” I went into surgery knowing that I was in the best hands.
The office staff is also great. Vicky the APRN has been attentive is very knowledgeable. I have no qualms about emailing her with questions or concerns, she gets right back to me. I have also had contact with the two PA’s- Danielle and Elaine- both are wonderful. Keisha works the desk, and has helped me schedule all of my appointments. She has always been pleasant. Anytime I have called with questions or concerns, the staff has gone out of their way to answer me.
