Dr. Ehrlich is an amazing surgeon. Many of my friends have followed my lead and had surgery. I had a lap band 6 months ago. He is so pleasant and easy going that you don't feel stupid asking a zillion questions. The office staff is fun. They always know who you are, and if you don't make an appointment for awhile, they call you to see what's going on.....you are in and out of the office quickly. They don't have you sitting there forever, like some dr.'s do. They treat the aftercare as carefully as they treat the surgery. If you are in his area, just go to a seminar and listen. You have nothing to lose. I wish I had done this years ago.

My first impression was this is a doctor I could be comfortable with.rnrnMy impression has not changed. I am comfortable with my doctor. I made the correct choice for me.rnrnThe office staff is friendly and the PA's are wonderful. They answer all of your questions and are very caring.rnrnI really do not have anything that I do not like. rnrnWhen they tell you something - they are serious and you need to do it. Especially going on a fat free diet before surgery!rnrnI have an appointment once a month to go over my progress. I would really prefer a little more structure and direction. More do's & don'ts. To be sure that I am doing everything that I can to optimally lose my weight quckly, but healthfully.rnrnI would rate my doctor a 9.9 out of 10. No one is perfect.rnrnMy doctors bedside manner and surgical competence is great! rn

I just had my surgery two weeks ago and highly recommend Dr. Erlich. I found Dr. Erlich's and all the staff to very friendly. They were more than happy to answer all kinds of questions. Even their call back is done a timely basis.rnrnI found the pre-op, post-op and aftercare easy to understand. The Emmi website is an excellent tool to use when trying to explain to family and friends about the procedure. rnrnAll and all, I give Dr. Erlich two thumbs up!

My first impression was: here is a doctor with the smarts and confidence I want but without the arrogance that seems to accompany so many of them. My impression of him got even better over time. He is naturally personable--he couldn't possible fake it for this long! He seems to genuinely care how I feel, both emotionsally and physically. He is encouraging yet honest. He informed me up front that WLS is not magic. He was quick to tell me there is work to it, and I may never be a size 5, but I will be able to play with my grandchildren if I do what I am supposed to do to maintain health. He gives compliments as well as asks the difficult questions...\"Are you grazing?\" \"Why do you think you are not losing?\"rnrnHis staff, like him, are competent and inspire confidence. rnrnHe promotes the support groups and strongly emphazises maintaining good nutrition after surgery. We are kept informed about support groups and WLS-related news through regular emails.rnrnAm I gushing? In a nutshell, I think he and his staff are great and I am thrilled to have gone through this experience with them.

There is not enough I can say about Dr. Ehrlich. When I went for my consultation I could tell how excited he was about bariatric surgery and believed in it. He was very supportive of my decision and gave me the information I needed to make the best decision for myself. Since my surgery he has continued to be very support. He has celebrated every success with me. I have never hesitated to call him with a problem of a question. I am an employee at St. Vincent's Medical Center and have sen Dr. Ehrlich with other patients. He is always very caring and compassionate. rnrnThe office is wonderful. From Keisha at the desk to Elaine and Danielle, they are all wondeful. Keisha is always pleasant and helpful. Danielle and Elaine are so supportive and like Dr. Ehrlich, have celbrated every success with me. They have been there to help me through a rough patch and so has Dr. Ehrlich. They are all very involve with patient care. It's always a good experience to go and see them for my follow-up.rnrnFuture patients should know that Dr. Ehrlich and his staff are very supportive. They never push and they are always caring. They have genuine concern for their patients and really want the best for them. No question is ever \"stupid.\" Pre-op they explain all risks involved and really describe what a patient can expect post-op.rnrnPost-op care is very important. They are very adament that patients should come in monthly during the first post-op yeat. Dr. Ehrlich and his staff really emphasize follow-up b/c there are so many changes going on in the first post-op year. They want to make sure food is going down, that the patient isn't vomitting, or having heart burn. They emphasize coming in for you monthly visit. For myself those monthly visits are important especially if you've hit a bump in the road. You can talk it out w/Dr. Ehrlich or Elaine or Danielle and they help you figure out what's going on and how to fix it. rnrnAll in all, Dr. Ehrlich is a wonderful person, physician, and surgeon. Elaine and Danielle are fabulous PA's. They are caring and compassionate. They push you when you need to be pushed. They celebrate every success and work with you to get through the rough patches. Everyday I am so happy that I had lap-band and I am so happy I had it w/Dr. Ehrlich and the wonderful staff of Fairfield Bariatrics.rnrn

Dr. Ehrlich was very sensitive and tried every avenue to help me.rnMy impression of him is still the same.rnThe office staff is wonderful and they make sure you know that you can call anytime with any questions or concerns.rnHe is a very caring doctor and he is very dedicated to his cause.rnThey are very Thorough about after care. They want to make sure you do things right so you wont get sick or have complications.rnThey have a very well structured after care program.rnHe gave me all the good but he also gave me the negative, he was very honest with me on all aspects.rnHe was an awesome surgeon, I would definitely refre him to someone else.rnI say both, Surgical Compitence is great but to have a doctor that can put a patients mind at ease is really important too. I wasnt too nervous about my procedure, Dr. Ehrlich assured me everything would be fine.

I first meet Dr. Ehrlich at the seminar, he was very knowledgable and took the time to answer all my questions pretaining to insurance coverage. That is what impressed me the most about chosing him to perform my surgery. My impression has not change a year and five months later I have referred several of my friends to him and they also are very pleased with the outcome and treatment that they have received from Dr. Ehrlich. His office staff are \"AWESOME\", they are a reflection of Dr. Ehrlich and he is a relection of them. Without those wonderful ladies I truly do not believe they would be as successful as they are. \"YOU ALL ROCK\". Really, there wasn't anything that I witness for me not to like about him. That he is a caring and respectful physican. VERY STRONGLY! Especially the support group, following the plan after surgery, exercising, and keeping your appointments. Yes he does and he stands strongly by it as well. By explaining to me what could happen if I were not to follow the plan, I think he address the risks of having this surgery in a manner that any surgeon would if it was open heart surgeon, details were given and basically what it all boils down to is me willing to do my part like before having my surgery he suggested that I see the nutriontist and work on losing 15lbs before my surgery and I did and I wasn't so stressful on me afterwards my healing went smooth. If his reputation depended on my rating him than I would most definitly give him a high 9. With Dr. Ehrlich both coming from him was great he came to see me during my stay every day to see how I was coming along and to encourage me to get out of bed and walk. If I had anything negative to say trust me it would have been the first sentence. And yes no person can be the best, but the doctors, nurses, and their staff are best at St. Vincent's and I chosed to trust them with MY LIFE while on that table going through weigh loss surgery. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to express how much the staff at ST. Vincent's and The Fairfield County Bartics means to me.

Intially cocky and arrogant but after time a compassionate man who loves the ability to provide people with a tool that can embark them on an entire new journey. EVERYONE in his office is wonderful from the Physicaians Assitants to the secretary. The Post- op care is phenomenal and the accutraments that are set up to help you in succeeding in your goals. I would rate him and his staff as 10 out of 10. His surgical competence is great after surgery i needed a gall bladder surgery and a hernia repair both of had nothing to do with the first surgery but he was able o do them.

I Think and feel that Dr. Ehrilich is really greatrnand his staff is fantastic, caring and alwaysrnwilling to help. I found nothing negative aboutrnDr. Ehrilich. If I had to say one thing , thatrnwould be that he and his staff are quite busyrnand \"sometimes\" because of the pressure onrnthem, can not spend as much time as I wouldrnlike to spend with them.rn ALL aspects of the procedure wererngone over with me at length,(before and after)rnand I understood all the aspects including thernrisks involved. But after all is said and donernit is really up to the patient to loose the weightrnas the procedure is just a great \"tool\" forrnweight loss.
