Timothy Ehrlich Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

I was very impressed by Dr. Ehrlich when i first saw him. He seemed very confident in what he was talking about and very honest. He is straight to the point with you and let you know everything that is going on. I felt very relaxed around him and his team of professionals. He stressed frequently about following the diet and taking care of yourself. He said it is very important that you follow directions and please call if you have any questions. They have a very well structured after care program. There are meetings you can attend. He has a nutrionist and mental health consultant that you can refer with if you need help also. I rate Dr. Ehrlichs team of professionals with an 10. I had no problems with the surgery. My stay at the hospital was wonderful and i will recommend there practice to all my friends and family.

My surgeon was excellent. From the time i went to the seminar he hosted I was sure he was the surgeon i wanted.The staff in the office was very good. They were all very sweet and made sure I knew what to expect before and after my surgery. I felt at ease talking withthem. They made me feel very comfortable, and not like just another fat patient.I just want future patients to know that the Fairfield Biariatric Team is awsome. They will not regret dealing with them.On a scale from 1-10. I give my surgeon and the office a BIG 10!!!!!!.From the begining up until this point everything has been wonderful.

My experience with Dr. Ehrlich has been postive. With some minor complications after surgery I have found the office as well as Dr. Ehrlich to be responsive when I have called with issues.

My first impression of Dr. Ehrlich was his knowledge on the subject of bariatric surgery. He was able to answer questions from the group, which was about 65-70 people. He had a sense of humor. After I had my first appointment with Dr. Ehrlich I had questions that were answered quickly by his friendly staff. Throughout the weeks that led up to surgery, I still had questions which were always answered in a timely manner. I kept in close contact with his office staff to make sure they had gotten all the test results they needed to submit to my insurance company for \"deny or approve\" the surgery. From the beginning of this process, going to my first seminar to my surgery took two months. Everything was explained to me in detail. They have some great websites, especially Emmi before surgery. I travel 45 minutes to see Dr. Ehrlich and his staff, because of the great things I have heard about him and his staff. Everything others have said about this group is true. They are a well oil machine, that works well with patients and their families. They would stop at nothing to make sure you as the patient are comfortable with them. I would definately recommend Dr. Ehrlich and his staff to any one else who is considering bariatric surgery.

My first meeting with Dr. Erhlich was very casual and relaxing. Initially I was nervous and had about 1,000 questions. Dr. Erhlich was patient, warm and put me at ease immediately. This is a Dr. who is genuine, caring and easy to talk to - nothing was off limits - even embarrassing questions! The staff in the office are the nicest people you'll ever meet. They really get to know you and care about your progress and do everything to help you reach your goal. The Dr. and staff were always happy to answer my questions no matter how mundane or stupid I thought they might be. Risks were thoroughly explained and I knew exaclty what I was getting into and/or what I could expect. The bedside manner of everyone in the office is very, very caring. I felt very confident in Dr. Erlich and his whole staff - my life was in their hands afterall, but I didn't doubt for a minute that my surgery would not go well. I took about 10 months to educate myself on this procedure, went to seminars and support group meetings to help in my decision. Choosing a surgeon who you trust and can talk to, in my optinion, is vital for longterm success.

Dr. Ehrlich is intelligent, kind, and caring. He instills confidence. He's gentle and thorough. His office staff is helpful, friendly and caring. I liked everything about Dr. Ehrlich. Futur patients should know that he made the entire process painless, and easy. If anyone is nervous, they should relax because Dr. Ehrlich is great. He puts a great deal of emphasis on aftercare. He and his staff guide you through everything step by step. They leave no stone unturned to let you know that they are there for you. They tell you everything you need to know so there are no unanswered questions. everything is outlined for you and they are they are only a phone call away if ever the need to speak with someone arises. Dr. Ehrlich explained the risks involved with the surgery very well; but, I knew the risks involved by not getting the surgery were a thousand times worse. He had faith in me and I had faith in him. All of that far OUTWEIGHED the risks. I would rate Dr. Ehrlich a definate 10 with 10 being the best. Both surgical competence and bedside manner are important. If Dr. Ehrlich hadn't made me feel so relaxed and sure of the outcome right from the begining, I probably never would have had the surgery at all. I realize this is a glowing testimonial; but, there honestly was not one bad thing I could say about Dr. Ehrlich or his staff. rnrn

I first met Dr. Ehrlich during a presentation for bariatric surgery. My first impression was that he was very bright and personable. Now that I have been a patient for over a year my feelings have only been continually confirmed. Dr. Ehrlich is not only a bright highly competent physician, he cares. He treats you as a person not merely a patient. He wants you to be successful and continually helps you strive for this through the extensive aftercare network he has established. Since my original lap-band surgery a year ago, he has also operated on me for gall bladder and a hernia repair. Each time he was reassuring and attentive. I don't think there is a single thing that I don't like about him or his group. I am very happy with my decision to have lap-band surgery and the group that I chose.

Dr. Ehrlich is a very kind and caring person that makes you feel comfortable the moment that you meet him. Over time you almost begin to feel that you have known him forever. His office staff is friendly and attentive. They are always willing to answer or direct your questions to the proper people. The only thing that I didn't like about Dr. Ehrlich was that he is thinner than me. I am quickly getting down to his size though!!! Future patients should know that with Dr. Ehrlich, they will be in the hands of one of the finest doctors in Bariatric Surgery. He, and his office have a very structured aftercare program that they highly encourage everyone to attend. During the pre-op sessions, Dr. Ehrlich is very thorough in presenting the pros and cons of the surgery. He is patient with his answers to the many questions that you may be concerned with. I am confident that if you select Dr. Ehrlich as your physician, you will not only be pleased with having the surgery, but you will also be thankful for choosing Dr. Ehrlich. Remember, you are not just choosing a doctor, you are choosing a whole new way of life as well as a support group!!!

Dr Erlich was very supportive and encouraged me to proceed without delay as my insurance coverage was changing and the new company likely would not approve the surgery. He and his staff gave me all the information I needed to get approved in a short time frame. They gave me all the encouragement I needed, but left it to me to do the work - just to show how serious I was about having this done. rnHe remains very supportive, even when I am disappointed with myself. He is one of my biggest cheerleaders. rnHis office staff, EVERYONE on the team- is very supportive, and genuinely care about every patient's success. They take the time to talk with me at every appointment, and really listen to my concerns I am never rushed - unless I have to run to work! rnOn the day of my surgery, he sat with me for awhile to explain there would be a few hour delay due an emergency that bumped the OR scheduling - I was fine with it, but he took the time to explain everything to me and my friend who stayed with me. Long before that day he made sure I knew everything about the surgery and what to expect.rnDr E really stresses support groups and routine follow up. rnHe's a great guy, he cares about the success of his patients, he has great surgical skill and a caring bedside manner. I would encourage others interested in the surgery to meet with him!!!
