Baptist Hospital of Nashville Hospital

The staff was very helpful and kind. My pre-op procedures included xrays, bloodwork, and an MRI. This was done in record time. Also, Baptist was very caring and the nurses checked on me frequently. I don't know if I got such great treatment since I was self-pay, but the doctors, nurses, administrative staff were all helpful and nice.

Their food services leaves something to be desired. They kept sending up the wrong food items and it was very obvious they didn't know what pureed was (they sent biscuits, gravy and eggs on the morning of my release - three times). So watch your foods delivered from the food services department. Educate yourself about what you can and can't have before going into surgery and then call them on it when they screw up.

I was generally pleased with the hospital and the staff, except for one nurse/tech rotation, which I unfortunately had for two nights. Word of advice, if you get a blonde nurse by the name of Linda (and the tech Twanda), immediately request another nurse, especially if you're a guy. This pair was worse than worthless and downright abusive. Everyone else, though, was great. Linda is so notorious that everyone we mentioned her to knew immediately who we meant. I hope, after filing my complaint with the guest services department, that Linda will be replaced with someone with a personality and disposition more fitting a supposedly caring nurse.
