Barix Clinics (NW Suburban Com. Hospital) Hospital

The shared rooms and shared bathrooms was less than desired. But, not unbearable.

The hospital was fine. The staff needs a little work. The IV machines would beep and beep. Even after buzzing the desk to notify them, no one came for long periods of time. The beeping is extremely annoying because you can hear anyone's machine near you, across the hall, next door, etc.
There was 1 bathroom to 4 people and the staff didn't do a good job of keeping the plastic potty pans emptied. Also, inconvenient b/c neighbor kept forgetting to unlock door.

Had 1 nurse that needs to let me help her when she's just had surgery. Bitch is what still comes to mind after all this time. Very insensitive. Much like an army sgt. might be. She jabbed me w/ a shot so hard that it not only bled, but I had a knot and bruise for a week.

I had a great experience, as everyone knows you are woke up a lot, but that is to be expected. They were very sensitive to the fact that I was from out of the area and helpful to my family regarding restaurants and such.

overall it was good.

The hospital was spotless and the staff was very attentive. I never waited more than a few minutes for help, and nurses and techs were very kind and caring.

In my opinion, this is the best of the best. The care is outstanding as is the staff of care providers, doctors and surgeons.

I can not say how wonderful I was treated by the staff of this hospital. I was cared for with respect and dignity. I wish that any future surgeries I would have could be done here but they only do bariatric surgeries. My only complaint would be that the rooms are not private. I did not get a room mate unitl the day I left and I am extremely glad because the perosn who was brought in was a "huge" complainer.

I recommend having surgery on a Friday. By Sunday there were only 5 of us in the hosptial and we received even more attention. Visiting hours were 8am to 10pm which was nice. My friends who called the hospital on Saturday and Sunday did have problems getting through, so just be aware of that.

My stay was a very positive experience. All the staff was great and my needs were taken care of immediately. I didn't have a roommate so that was good because the rooms are quite small. Also I don't sleep well with noise and it's definetly not a quiet place. The last two nights I slept with my walkman CD player and headphones and that helped a lot.

Overall everyone was very caring and compassioate. Hospital was extremely clean and up to date.
