Barix Clinics (NW Suburban Com. Hospital) Hospital
One nurse told me I was hitting the morphine button too much--well, I was having spasms that were so painful they wuld make me shout out (I am a tough cookie). She took away my button in the middle of the night! Next, a nurse who brought my first meal told me she expected me "to eat at least half of it"...popsicle, jello, juice, broth, etc. "Are you kidding?" I asked her, "I could get really sick!" The next thing I hear, someone is hurling down the hall!
Can I mention just a couple minor gliches? I happened to stay in a semi-private room and the rooms are really small. There really isn't enough comfortable space for visitors in your room. Also my husband mentioned there was no TV in the family waiting room. Overall I am pleased with this hospital and would have no uneasiness about returning, if needed.
I felt very comfortable with medical/surgical staff. They all seemed very caring and accomodating.
update:Went for 3 month follow up visit. had my local hospital draw for bloodwork and fax results to btc. local hospital did not sent results. Follow up call to local hospital. they faxed results to btc. follow up call to nutritionist at btc. She said everythng is fine, she would have called if anything was wrong. i don't know any of the numbers, kind of uncomfortable not knowing.
Mr Jeff George in collection/accounting dept unfriendly/uncaring. he just wants $$$$$.
I didn't call to schedual 6 month visit because I don't have ins., can't afford $835.00 for blood work again (every 3 months for 1st year)My attitude about the procedure and medical facility is good, just waiting to see if they care about me or their money.
