I have been"big boned" from a very young age. Until I reached 7 th grade, I didnt know i was over weight. I didnt think anything was wrong with me. My family treated me normal. My first day of big kid school, I was excited. Until I went to P.E. and had to change clothes in a room of other girls. I was mortified. We got weighed i was 290lbs. And the struggle began. The next few years were spent being bullied and called names. Because not only was I fat, I was smart and wore glasses! Back then steve erkel was popular. My life was a living hell. I came home crying daily Then to make matter worse the jerry curl came out. And my mom made me get one, lol. Its funny now and I know some of you are thinking, omg, I thought I was the only one! Fast forward to the summer after grade. I lost 100 pounds over the summer. My aunt got me help excercising and eating high protein. I started 9th grade at 190 and a size 9/10. Ikept the weight off by being active and compliant. At 20 I got pregnant and gained 80 pounds. No one told me I wasnt eating for 2. Or that I couldnt just eat what I wanted. I was pampered and spoiled. My 1st child came and I breast feed, for his health and to lose weight. Didnt lose weight, tho. I just focused on him and college. I dropped out of school because he has sickle cell as does his father. So between their sickle cell crisis of school was not a option. A few years later he and I split. And I started college again. Meet another, fell in love had 2 kids 1 year apart. Gained 30 more pounds! We seperated and I got healthier and lost down to 256. I meet my husband and during the 7 years we have been together, we had a daughter. I maintaied 256 until I went back to college. I gained to where I am now. 280-284.I graduated in May 2016 and dont want to be the "fat" nurse I have high blood pressure and cholesterol and feel so guilty teaching my patients in clinical and Im not following my own advice. I have tried diet changes and adipex and now its time for a permanent loss!
