OMG...I have miscounted my post op days ????

I had surgery Oct 28,2016.

Someone (dietician) told me to start counting from the day I woke up in my own bed. 

Now,after speaking with my nurse about my upcoming appt. I was informed that today makes day 19 for me ???? Say What?!

She was yes ma'am. The First day after your procedure is the day We Count BC it counts! You wouldn't start counting how old your new baby is from the first day he/she woke up at home. Right?!

Well hell Y'all dietician told me to count day one when I woke up in my own bed. I have more to say on that,but I will save my opinion and just say. If someone feels incompetent to you,even if they have a title-ALWAYS VERIFY their info. IJS. 

I'm not even following the diet she gave me BC it was out dated,printed from a website,compiled,stapled and handed to me for $45 and a pitch to buy high vitamins from her- H**Nawl- And I say that with all my Louisiana creole accent and drag in my voice!

The diet I am following is from my GI/Endo surgeon. He is amazing and I have a long standing relationship with him. 

Dr.D,who did my surgery, I have only seen him 1 time in office and then the surgery and at discharge, and now for my follow up appt. 

My surgery went well no major complications (I won't dwell), but he is 4+ hours away. This will be my last time seeing him. For the whole 10-15 I'm there. 

Sooooo, I needed someone I trusted that has taken great care of me in the past. 

I'm doing great. Still holding things down with no problems. 

I can drink out a straw,it doesn't make me gassy or bloated. I actually prefer that,when I drink without a straw,then I'm gulping, to each is own. 

No food getting "stuck" and other things I have read. Other than that stomach virus ???????????? I have had no issues AT All. 

And enjoying the rest of my "recovery"- My nerves aren't ready for the stress of work, once I took off and that obligation was gone I started to feel better mentally and once that virus ran its course,I have felt great everyday since!! ????????????????????
