I didn't always have a weight problem or struggle with food. As a child and right up into my 20's I was actually quite thin. It wasn't until the birth of my second daughter in my late 20's that something changed in my body and I had what I like to call the popcorn effect. All of a sudden I was 50 lbs heavier and gaining weight steadily. I went to my doctor for help as I couldn't understand why I was gaining weight at such a fast pace. She gave me depression meds. I wasn't depressed but I was getting depressed with what was happening. I've spent the past 15 years yo yoing up and down the scale - getting as high as 280 lbs but never getting below 220 lbs. I have now faced my weight gaining demons and know why I have gained weight and am ready to make the change necessary to make results last.
