We are excited to announce our Saturday sessions and speakers! Whether you're new to the ObesityHelp National Conferences or a repeat attendee, we can’t wait to see you at OH2022 in Costa Mesa, California on September 30th and October 1st!  

You’ll absolutely love the OH2022 Saturday Sessions; they are jam-packed full of education, support, and celebration! This fun-filled day will start at 7am with a Low Impact Fitness session with Dezi Zevin, PA-C, C-PT.  Dave Gyurina will host a welcome and information session at 8am and then it’s on to amazing breakout sessions that you won’t want to miss! You'll also have the opportunity to stop by the Clothing Exchange and visit with the bariatric-friendly vendors in the Exhibitor Hall. And don’t forget that there will be lots of great prizes and giveaways!

Carrie Brander, MBA

Carrie Brander MBA, has been a bariatric patient for over 18 years and now helps weight loss surgery patients overcome the struggles that come before and after bariatric surgery. She is the author of Bariatric Body, a memoir she wrote after undergoing two weight loss surgeries where she details losing 100 pounds twice.

C. Zhaleh Gazori, RD, CDCES

C. Zhaleh Gazori, RD, CDCES, has been specializing in Bariatrics over the past 10+ years after being inspired by her first Bariatric patient that weighed over 500 lbs. She brings enthusiasm, humor, compassion, and empowerment by teaching patients how to create a long-lasting healthy relationship with food.

Karen L. Herbst, MD, PhD

Karen L. Herbst, MD, PhD, is board-certified in Endocrinology. You may recognize her as a research physician on Mystery Diagnosis. Dr. Herbst headed up a NIH-sponsored conference to establish the standard of care for lipedema and presented new ICD-10 codes for lipedema and Dercum’s Disease to the CDC. She continues her passion for helping people with connective tissue disorders as part of Total Lipedema Care.

Bavani Nadeswaran, MD, MBBS

Bavani Nadeswaran, MD, MBBS, is a Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine at UC Irvine. She serves as Associate Program Director for the UCI Internal Medicine Residency Program.

Dezi Zevin, PA-C, C-PT, is a physician assistant with over 20 years of experience. She is a NASM-certified personal trainer, bariatric fitness specialist, and medical fitness practitioner.
