Topic: On a stall?
Okay, went back to the er for fluids because of vertigo. I always gain excess pounds with fluids. I retain it terribly. I have been on a stall since my incision drama. I finally gave up the scale but got back out the measuring tape. I have lost inches all over.

I know I could be gaining muscle because of the protein and isometric exercises. I should be able to go up a level on the bands because it has become easy.

I really miss watching myself lose a couple of pounds a day though.

BTW, my incision has closed up 2cm, only 4cm left. Yeah, then I get to swim!

I can only eat about 1.5 nugget size chicken. I cut it up into tiny pieces and chew at least 30 before swallowing, basically it is pureed when you swallow. If I don't chew 30times, I have become sick. I just started solid food last friday.

Remember, it takes 30 minutes for your brain to realize your full. Today is the first day I have actually felt hungry since surgery. Good luck.

I've added back in a habit I had pre -surgery of taking 2 Acidophilus tablets every morning.  Keeps me regular and I never have an issue.  If I stop taking the tablets, issues the very next day !

Finally got my husband to start taking them also and now he swears by them.  Much nicer than drinking fiber for me.

Each nugget is about an ounce I would think? You should only have two then and chew chew chew....

I am sticking with a straight 2 oz of everything for now.  Depending on what it is I'm eating, I either feel totally satisfied or totally stuffed, like after Thanksgiving dinner.  My eyes stopped being bigger than my pouch early on... when you feel like a car is sitting on your chest after you ate, you defientely over did it !

No throwing up for me yet, but the weight on my chest is extremely uncomfortable, so I've gone with the straight 2 oz rule !

Topic: RE: Who's your biggest cheerleader/critic?
My husband is my biggest cheerleader and inspiration! I've mentioned this before, he had RNY 2 yrs ago and has kept his 100 lbs off and became an avid runner!! He is very encouraging and is excited when I tell him what I've lost etc. He has been absolutely fabulous! My sister (who is also overweight) has been fantastic-

Biggest critics--- My Aunt is very competitive with me about weight loss, always has been. We used to do weigh****chers together and she would get so mad when I'd lose more than her. Mind you, I am TWENTY years younger than her. We used to be very close but not so much anymore (even before surgery). I am not that interested in the person she has become lately and don't feel like being around her like I used to! Sad sad sad. She had the nerve to ask me the other day if my RNY could be reversed if I wanted it to. Shut up lady ....A lot of my family members are not supportive. They also have the "easy way out" mentality and don't realize what kind of commitment and courage it takes! 90% of my family is heavyset.... I think they are jealous that I am losing weight while they gain and maintain. But I've decided that is THEIR choice and not my problem anymore!!!

I can tell you this, I can only eat 2 nuggets tops! lol
When you feel like food is in your throat and not your pouch, you are TOO full.. I weigh my meals still to make sure I dont eat too much, I start with 2 oz and if I can fit more in, I eat a 1/2 oz at a time. I have not been able to get more than 2- 21/2 oz in at once still. I am supposed to be increasing my food intake, per my doc, and started stage 4 (diff with every surgeon it seems)... I recommend weighing your food again and make sure you chew chew chew and take at least 20 mins to eat.... eating too fast will definitely make you vomit (it does me, every single time I rush!)
