Hi Heidi!

To this date I have absolutely no idea what it is that I am allergic to in the Vanilla Optifast. My first 11 days were truthfully hell for me. I stopped the vanilla on day 5...my reaction started out very slowly but every day it got worse until finally my lips and tongue were swelling. I have to assume I am allergic to the flavouring that differentiates the two Optifast flavours because I am absolutely ok with the chocolate.

Talk to your specific dietician at TWH and tell them what happened! They will work out a plan for you! If I were you and having experienced what I experienced....I would not put that Optifast in your mouth!!

I was following you about your bad experience. So sorry you had to go through that.
I spoke with Mary right after the meeting, she said she will work on something else. All I can say is thank goodness I brought allergy meds. Something told em to pack them.

Not only is Hoss a funny guy but he's quite the looker too! Just ask all the ladies at our support group! I don't know what the ladies talk about more after the meetings... Hoss or the surgery itself.... Hehe...
