Yay you for getting all those tomatoes canned...that is so much work! I got the last of the plum juice canned on Friday and was too tired to clean the mess till Sunday. But it feels good to have it finished, doesn't it?

Sorry allergies are flaring up, they are just miserable. I'm praying mine will hold off till my nose heals.

QOTD: I used to think I was a textbook Gemini but from what AI says about it apparently I'm more of my other moon which I knew once but don't remember. Definitely talkative, indecisive, nosy, jump from project to project. But I'm the opposite of outgoing, I'd rather shrink into the wallpaper.

B: protein/collagen shake

L: the rest of the shake then lots of water

D: 1/2 c mashed kabocha, 1 tsp butter and 5 med shrimp

Might force down a snack before bed to maybe help me fall asleep. NF Greek yogurt w/bad sweetener and vanilla. Doubt I'll sleep, didn't last night. Not looking forward to tomorrow. Listing tomorrow in case I'm too zonked out.

NPO after midnight, sip of water w/pills 2 hrs before surgery in the a.m. Lunch will likely be a liter of saline solution and dinner will be a cold commercial shake w/ð?'?

TTYL! ?

Hi Dot T. The best iron supplement that many of us have found is Proferrin ES. A bit pricey, but it has really been helpful to many of us. I had low ferritin like a 4 and had to have iron infusions 6 times, but in 2022 I had a hysterectomy done due to a massive fibroid which for me caused excessive bleeding during my menstrual cycle each month. Between having that done and making sure to take my Proferrin every day my Ferritin hasn't been below 75 and my total iron is on the higher end.

Hopefully that helps you. Feel free to join in on our daily menu if you would like.

I can't seem to do a search on this site anymore. So, I'm hijacking this post (sorry!)

my iron is in the gutter because I haven't been taking my supplements like I should have. I'm probably going to end up getting an infusion, but for future reference, what type of iron is best for absorption after RNY?
I have iron bisglycinate, carbonyl iron, and heme (bovine spleen) on hand.

thanks for any replies!

I got all of my tomatoes canned this weekend. I forgot how hard it was, and Saturday I had terrible nausea. Probably due to dehydration and too much work without food. All but 3 of them sealed, I just froze the contents of those jars. My back is hurting, I have terrible posture which just makes it worse. I got most of it cleaned up this morning, but I still have more to do.

QOTD- I'm a Capricorn, yes it does fit me mostly.

Football was a mixed bag Oregon won 69-3 over Oklahoma State. The Seahawks lost to the 49ers 17-13, of course losing in the last 2 minutes... But at least it is back.

It was warm enough to dry my clothes outside, so I was happy. Still waiting for the rains to come.

Have a great day everyone!

Good mornin y'all.

what a weekend...glad it's over!

today we took momma to get spayed. Praying it's successful. I'm so worried about her. I so wish we could keep her as she's just so sweet.

We're going to Sam's here in a bit. Then we need to come home and clean my room a bit including the kennel she'll stay in for recovery.

i'm still battling the never ending snot fest. It feels like it'll never end.

QOTD: I'm an Aquarius and I am not sure about it fitting me. I'm not terribly into the whole zodiac thing.p so I don't know a lot about it.

B: breakfast sandwich and coffee

L: ????

D: probably chicken thighs and some roasted carrots

a piece I am making for my aunt for Christmas...it's not finished yet.

Good morning Lricks0522!

I'm so sorry, I'm just now seeing your questions. I am a member of Cornerstone Care Clinic. It's a clinic inside a local pharmacy. A lot of locals use them as a back up to their regular doctor's office. For things like, colds, flu, physicals, etc. They also do a "weight loss" type program. Through them, I pay $70 every 3 months for membership (includes a lot of perks), $45 weekly for my GLP-1 shot and a B12 shot.

If I were to use my insurance, it would cost me $800-$1000, monthly just for the glp-1.
It's a great day to be alive.

Good Monday morning gang. I think my Fall allergies are starting to kick in. I woke up this morning with a watery left eye and runny nose. Time to break out the allergy meds. I hate not being able to breath through my nose or see clearly. The weekend was lowkey, but I did get the horse paddock cleaned out with the bobcat something I've been wanting to do before Winter. Other than that rain came in Saturday afternoon and stuck around the rest of the weekend so I did some inside cleaning.

I'll be back in the scale house three days this week and next week because Renee is on vacation now. Though I will say the PM had a talk with her when she came back from being on FMLA about not doing stuff when she said she did.

QOTD: What's your Zodiac sign and do you think it matches your personality? I'm a Capricorn and yes everything they say about them is 100% spot on.

B: coffee and 3 egg bites

L: Jalapeno poppers and toss salad

D: grilled pork chops with yellow beans

The Y is finally back up and running so I think we will head there tonight to get back into the routine.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Topic: RE: Finally Friday's Menu

Hi! So glad this is Friday and the roofing job is done so back to peace and quiet. I need to make cookies for all the neighbors to thank them for putting up with all of that. Hubs is slightly more peoply than me so the only stress for him was just making sure the job got done right with minimal damage. The crane driver cracked the city's sidewalk then moved a few feet off the sidewalk and into our grass with no support and sunk a giant footprint into the sod. That's going to be an unpleasant job to repair. Today I'm just decompressing from the week and getting things ready for the post-op time next week. Hoping to diy some small frozen gel packs and lay out liquid-y meals (straw friendly) besides protein shakes. The OR nurse suggested only cold liquids for the first few days.

QOTD: Haven't been to any festivals, it wouldn't be fun to go alone and Hubby wouldn't go. Around here there is always a Civil War battle reenactment around Memorial Day...that would be fun. It would also be neat to go to the Highland Games but the Ren Fair hasn't ever interested me. Pretty much everything else is just an eating or drinking promotion and that's no fun now in addition to being just too peoply for me. I do go to the arts/crafts/holiday events but don't think those count as festivals. Very good question!

B: 2 cups coffee with a tablespoon of SF Nutpods creamer in each.

L: not hungry

Snack: a protein/collagen shake around 3 probably

Evening: 2 cups chicken bone broth and 10 shrimp. Maybe some nonfat Greek Yogurt to boost the protein totals.

Hope everyone has a great weekend whether travelling or working at home.
