I'm so sorry, I'm just now seeing your questions. I am a member of Cornerstone Care Clinic. It's a clinic inside a local pharmacy. A lot of locals use them as a back up to their regular doctor's office. For things like, colds, flu, physicals, etc. They also do a "weight loss" type program. Through them, I pay $70 every 3 months for membership (includes a lot of perks), $45 weekly for my GLP-1 shot and a B12 shot.
If I were to use my insurance, it would cost me $800-$1000, monthly just for the glp-1.
Good Monday morning gang. I think my Fall allergies are starting to kick in. I woke up this morning with a watery left eye and runny nose. Time to break out the allergy meds. I hate not being able to breath through my nose or see clearly. The weekend was lowkey, but I did get the horse paddock cleaned out with the bobcat something I've been wanting to do before Winter. Other than that rain came in Saturday afternoon and stuck around the rest of the weekend so I did some inside cleaning.
I'll be back in the scale house three days this week and next week because Renee is on vacation now. Though I will say the PM had a talk with her when she came back from being on FMLA about not doing stuff when she said she did.
QOTD: What's your Zodiac sign and do you think it matches your personality? I'm a Capricorn and yes everything they say about them is 100% spot on.
B: coffee and 3 egg bites
L: Jalapeno poppers and toss salad
D: grilled pork chops with yellow beans
The Y is finally back up and running so I think we will head there tonight to get back into the routine.
Have a great day everyone!!!
Hi! So glad this is Friday and the roofing job is done so back to peace and quiet. I need to make cookies for all the neighbors to thank them for putting up with all of that. Hubs is slightly more peoply than me so the only stress for him was just making sure the job got done right with minimal damage. The crane driver cracked the city's sidewalk then moved a few feet off the sidewalk and into our grass with no support and sunk a giant footprint into the sod. That's going to be an unpleasant job to repair. Today I'm just decompressing from the week and getting things ready for the post-op time next week. Hoping to diy some small frozen gel packs and lay out liquid-y meals (straw friendly) besides protein shakes. The OR nurse suggested only cold liquids for the first few days.
QOTD: Haven't been to any festivals, it wouldn't be fun to go alone and Hubby wouldn't go. Around here there is always a Civil War battle reenactment around Memorial Day...that would be fun. It would also be neat to go to the Highland Games but the Ren Fair hasn't ever interested me. Pretty much everything else is just an eating or drinking promotion and that's no fun now in addition to being just too peoply for me. I do go to the arts/crafts/holiday events but don't think those count as festivals. Very good question!
B: 2 cups coffee with a tablespoon of SF Nutpods creamer in each.
L: not hungry
Snack: a protein/collagen shake around 3 probably
Evening: 2 cups chicken bone broth and 10 shrimp. Maybe some nonfat Greek Yogurt to boost the protein totals.
Hope everyone has a great weekend whether travelling or working at home.

QOTD- My favorite is the Highland Games, but being adverse to crowds I haven't been in a while. Love those bagpipes and men in kilts.
I got my tomatoes, I think I lost my mind because I now have 50lbs to can. Now I need to get the jars out and get everything ready. Plus there is football.
I need to get to work. Have a great weekend everyone!

I like ethnic festivals and trying their different foods. They will have dancers, singers, and other shows. We have them all summer, Africa American, Greek, Irish and Italian festivals. In the fall there are apple festivals and some various art festivals and of course Octoberfest. I used to watch the paper for festivals and usually attended one every weekend.
I cannot do all that walking now but have great memories.
Jen, hope the bad weather stays away from you. Stay safe.

Good mornin y'all.
not a lot going on. We're doing the thrift store and Walmart visit. I'm feeling a lot of pain in my shoulder. I was reading stuff about what the doctor said and It's obvious he was talking out of his rear. I know he is retiring but be honest please...truthfulness is a lost art. Anyways I'm going to write down my questions for whenever I'm able to see a new orthopedic doctor. Annoyed.
Still haven't heard from my PCP. Annoyed is my general mood this week.
QOTD: before my back messed up I did. Now I have a hard time standing/stopping. I can walk more if I don't stop but that's about it.
B: egg, sausage pita and coffee
L: chicken and maybe a sf Italian ice.
D: not yet decided.
Good Friday morning gang. Ah another work week almost in the books. We had a nice rain last night and tomorrow afternoon we are under a first alert weather warning. High winds, lots of rain, and even a potential for a tornado. I know we need the rain, but the other stuff can stay away. I'll have to get things done quick in the morning before the weather turns.
Not much going on at work today so hopefully its quiet and I can finish up a few things.
QOTD: Do you like going to festivals and what kind? Late Summer early Fall there are all sorts of festivals going on. I like going to Renaissance festivals which I happen to have a friend from HS who participates in one here in CT. She's said anytime I want to go let her and she'll get us tickets. This year we are going to the Garlic Festival again in Mystic and in October the Scottish Festival.
B: coffee and breakfast wrap
L: buffalo chicken salad wrap
D: baked fish and steamed kale
Have a great Friday and weekend everyone!!!
I learned the only way I can eat meat is with a lot of sauce. A1, Heinz, or something homemade. I make an orange chicken that is really good and I can eat a lot of that. Yesterday I made a beef burgundy with fresh pasta, but ate two bites and was too full to eat more. I can eat filet but only cook it to rare and slice very thin.
Julia, that milk sounds awful but might be good for a milkshake with lactose free ice cream. My sister has tons of cherry tomatoes and I have been eating them a lot. A few more weeks of good tomatoes and then that will be it until next August.

Wilco the farm coop here is having their case sale tomorrow. I intend to buy 50lbs of canning tomatoes, I'm debating on the 25lbs of pickling cukes. I'm going to get there when they open as they sell fast. My weekend is going to be canning tomatoes.
The rains are coming, or so the weather guessers say. Between Monday & Tuesday we are supposed to get almost an inch of rain. We definitely need it.
Football starts for real this weekend. Ducks on Saturday and Seahawks on Sunday, I can hardly wait.
I made the mistake of getting milk other than Fairlife and it was awful. Partly my fault for not reading well enough it was lactose free but vanilla flavored. I'll never make that mistake again.
Work was really good yesterday, I had help from one of the guys and I got the job done! Now I know what I'm doing and have learned much more about the program we are using. There is a lot you can do with it, but it's not very intuitive. There are a lot of tricks to it. I'm just happy to be learning it.
Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, everyone!
I'm going to do a short day in the office and then get home nice and early. Our ride to the airport arrives at about 7:30, so I should have plenty of time to make sure my packing was complete, etc. We get to Madrid at about 2:00 Friday afternoon.
Generally, I have not been able to post when I am out of the country, so I will be away for a bit. I'm sure that I will read even if I don't post.
QOTD: Lately I haven't been able to eat much of a hamburger unless it's a thin patty.
Breakfast: bagel
Lunch: catered
Dinner: probably something at the airport.
Have a great day, all!
