I had mine done by Dr Jon Bruce at WakeMed Cary in NC. So far the post op has been far easier than the VSG. I don?t know if that?s because I knew what to expect or the fact my pouch was not touched during DS. Pain was minimal, although nausea the first 48 hours was bad. It has cured by bile reflux for sure.
Nausea has been a daily occurrence, but manageable. I feel like I know where my food is in my system at all times. SR meds had to be changed to IR. Bathroom stuff is weird.. dont stroll far the first few weeks. Water intake has been easier since I can still intake what I did prior to revision.
Please let me know if I can help in any way.

I have found that my GERD is getting pretty bad too but I also feel that it is getting worse since I have had re-gain.
Where did you get it done? How is recovery so far compared the the sleeve? Did you have to get an endoscopy to check your sleeve before hand? Sorry for all the questions!! Lol
Thanks for the reply by the way. I am super nervous about it but feel it is what I need. Please let me know how it goes!!
Congratulations on your journey. I am so glad to read that I am not the only one. My reflux was absolutely horrible. I stopped eating all carbs & sugars and it has helped drastically.
I look forward to more of your success story in the future.
I haven't had the conversion yet. I am finishing the requirements from the surgeon. I will be done on Wednesday with everything. I hope to have it this month.
What is a glass ladder? This is my 1st time hearing the term.
I think you are making a great decision. Definitely wishing you the best on your journey.
I just had revision to DS on 2/18... so far so good. Mine was mainly for bile reflux GERD that was severe. Weight loss will be appreciated though.

I am also curious regarding pass through.. I just revised from VSG to DS 2 weeks ago.. the first purée I had I was literally waiting to run to the bathroom. It ended up waiting until the next AM. I keep waiting for the 20-min mute miracle, but so far no problem. I am feeling sick after going, though.
I love hearing that constipation may be a thing of the past.

I had revision to DS for HH, but ended up not having a large enough HH to repair. The DS will be great for my GERD. I would also be concerned about proteins. If you struggle now, DS will further that problem?
