Wednesday Workouts!

I wanted to get this started because I'm excited! It was halfway decent today in Indiana and I went outside to walk. It was only 29 degrees, but the sun was peeking through every once in a while and I wanted to take advantage of it. I'll still go to the Wellness Center tonight to use the weight machines, but I can skip the bicycle except to warm up for a few minutes. I can't believe how much better shape I'm in than I was the last time I walked, in the fall. I started seriously exercising (I mean, more than 15-20 minute walks every 2-3 days) in mid-November. I walked fast for 35 minutes today, and felt great. It's a really good workout, because I live in a very hilly area and some of the hills are pretty steep. Last fall 20 minutes was all I could do. Next time I'll lengthen the route, because I could easily have gone longer. Can't wait to get my bicycle out of storage!

Jenny, it sounds like you had a great morning.  It's amazing how much stronger and healthier we feel with each milestone.

For me, today was the pushup challenge exertion test and my strength training routine.

Feeling very tired and having a hard time motivating myself these last couple of weeks so many thanks to all of you for keeping this daily post going...it draws me back and reminds me that exercise is not always easy, while there are times it feels so good it is almost effortless (the getting to work out or making time piece) there are other times when we all have to force ourselves...right now I'm forcing but glad to be here anyway...60 min stationary bike

Fully expected a bad run today, but was VERY pleasantly surprised.

5 miles today.  First 2 at 7.0, next one at 7.1, next one at 7.0, last one between 7.1 and 8.0.

First GOOD-feeling run since last Wednesday.  These runs are the reason I stay with it!
