I'm mentoring some guys through their first IM and today I took them out to Lake Del Valle for an Open Water Swim. We had a good time and my swim stroke count it up so that's good. They took my bench away that I used to decide when to turn around so I just turned around after 30 min. LOL

I ran a 5K race locally in MA, it was nice and easy as I ran with a friend who is just beginning to run races...thankful to have had a good run with him!!!

Saturday morning I met a friend at the gym and we played on the new rowing machines.  We did 2x500m and 3x250m.  I spent the rest of the day trying to wear out a foster dog (Australian Cattle Dog mix, so he can go and go and go..... ). I'd jog 1/2 mile, do a few sprints, jog, walk. I wore myself out, the dog had a great time!

This morning I was up at 0315 to run the dog, crate him and then be at the beach by 0500 to help set up for a kid's triathlon. It was exhausting and COLD... but soo much fun, and sure reminded me the purpose of my triathlon pursuits... the glory of the finish.  Those kids didn't care where they finished, they sprinted down that finish chute like it was Kona!!

Spent 5 hours on my feet, ran the dog, then napped before work (til midnight) and did a 1 mile walk on my lunch.

Edited to add.... My newest thoughts on a 2014 goal... Half IM??  Depends on if I crawl across the half marathon finish under my own power   :)
