Viactive is calcium citrate. You can get those at Walgreens for sure.

no, the chewable ones you buy in the store are calcium carbonate, not citrate.

Many vitamins are unhealthy in high amounts.  B12 in excess is actually associated with the development of many cancers.  You need to tell your doctor how much you were eating and work with her.  It's still good to be screened for leukemia and other issues to rule them out.  Good luck with everything :)

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

I personally did not, but I could understand people doing it. I didnt really change too much ahead of starting my preop diet. I didnt cut back, nor did I splurge.

I actually cut all my alcohol out for a few weeks before my preop diet started, and I also started my preop diet earlier than necessary.

Fortunately, mine was just 4 shakes a day + 1 lean protein meal w/ veggies... I didnt have a liquid preop. If I did, I probably would have had a feast lol

Did any of you go a bit crazy before you started your pre-op diet?  I feel like I am having a "last supper" of sorts...  Pre-op liquid phase starts tomorrow.

Topic: RE: Premier Protein Problems

My tastes changed drastically after surgery, so finding drinks to choke down was a challenge. The chocolate premier drinks and my chai tea latte k-cups (added genepro protein powder) were the only things I could tolerate. Everything else was too sweet, even crystal lite packets. My only advice is to keep experimenting and do not buy in bulk. Eventually, by a process of elimination, you will find things that work for you. It's hard though. Good luck!
