HI Gang,
I got a GOOD problem. I need lunch and dinner ideas /mechanisms to withstand 100 + degree heat.
I got a trainer skater position for an qualifying synchro team! The problems are: I will be skating at my "home rink" from 11-1 during the day. The home rink does not allow us to bring outside food in. Their food is icky fried fast food. So I will be leaving lunch in my car.
Then I hop in the car and drive to richmond to be there for skating practice.
I DONT want to fall into a "protein bar" habit just because it is hot out. I dont want to get into a fast food habit either.
Ideally, do you think an icechest/cheapy thermo lunch bag if loaded with ice/freezer packs can keep protein shakes, hard boiled eggs, chicken breast, tuna salad, veggies and hummus reasonably cold for 6-7 hours?
I dont want to food poison myself.
Can those premade shakes (e.g. EAS/atkins) withstand the heat of a hot car? Not day after day, just for 7 hours or so.
Thanks for helping me out with this weird problem.

Three pounds below Goal!!! Yay !
I am really trying hard to focus on protein. The evenings are the toughest. If I don't keep myself busy I just sit and think of food. I find myself snacking on Skinny Cow bars instead of grabbing veggies or a protein option.
Start by ordering a bag of Whey Low powder sugar substitute. For chocolate fudge, use this recipe but use the Whey Low powdered sugar instead of real powdered sugar. Instead of Eagle Brand condensed milk, get a can of Carnation Evaporated Skim Milk and mix a half cup of the powdered sugar substitute with the evaporated skim milk.
One secret to this fudge is to not stir too much and to use a candy thermometer to be sure it is at 234 degrees for the soft ball stage, but I do the ice water test. It took me time to get things right. I have used many other substitutes and found Whey Low to be the best out there.
If you can't wait for the Whey Low to arrive, you can put Splenda into the blender and blend it down to powder sugar consistency. I honestly can't remember if the Splenda will get to the soft ball stage but it will still make a good tasting fudge.
I just find recipes for what I want and then substitute healthier ingredients.

| It is better to consult your nutritionist.....as they know about your body construction well |
I'm currently tracking on MyFitness Pal. I'm looking at the carbs and sugar. What's the typical goals for either 1 6 months out? I forgot to ask the Nutrionist last week. MyFitness Pal sets limits, but that's not for post surgery.
Thanks.
Hey, if you want to waste your money on a MLM pyramid scheme, that's certainly your right. But this isn't the place to shill.

Please do not downgrade something that you do not know anything about...I do not consider THRIVE a marketing scam...rather another health alternative. Just as you chose to have a surgical procedure done...
Le-Vel was a way for me to better myself and has allowed me to be the best that I can be...I have had NUMEROUS benefits from this vitamin and mineral supplement.
It is okay if you do not agree...but your thought process may not be that of everyone else's.
Kindly,
Kristin
