Or the almond milk, or whatever you mix your protein powder in.

Yup! All liquid is liquid.

And you should be getting a MINIMUM of 64 ounces, not 48.

Hi so from the information folder that i have gotten from my doctor my two week pre-op liquid diet is anything you can drink from a cup including smooth soup. And yes if you are using protein powder the 8oz 1% milk that you use counts as 8oz of liquid. You can also drink Gatorade G2 its low in sugar and low in carbs.

I am having trouble drinking 48oz of liquid per day. Is it only clear liquids that count or any liquid?

I tried making my own ahead of time. I am a decent cook, but I found that buying low sodium soup in a can and draining off the solids worked best for me. I know that's kind of lazy but for a working gal trying to get all your liquids in and getting a decent flavor, this is what worked best for me. Just an option.

Easily for me its Premier Protein chocolate shakes. I buy them at Sams. I keep my fridge full so they are nice and cold. As soon as I get done with the gym, I drink one every morning with a banana.

I have tried other flavors, and I just cant. So, I stick with what works.

Struggling to get my protein in. MD said to add a protein drink. I don't know what is the best tasting and I won't be able to drink it if it smells or tastes bad -- yes, I am that picky.

Any suggestions would be really helpful.
